a size 10 is about a 30 inch waist...you can compare a size ten to a celebrity...tyra banks is a size 12, lindsey lohan maybe a size 4, scarlette johannson probably an 8-10 because of her hips. jessica simpson is probably around a size 12-14 now.

It cracks me up that everyone is making speculations about comparison to celebrities and average female sizes to get an idea of whether you're fat or not, since you have a number of pictures in your profile that show your body.

Based on nothing except the pictures (since all other comparisons are simply relative), you're definitely not fat. 'Nuff said.

As for the threshold, it's almost impossible to base it on waist size or even body weight. Sometimes a person who weighs more will look less fat than someone who weighs less simply because of their body type, or proportions. Muscles is denser than fat, so it adds more weigh per size, but you wouldn't call a bodybuilder "fat".

At 5'7" you could easily be a size 10, 12, or 14, and maybe bigger and still not be "fat". Clothing sizes have a lot to do with your bone structure as well as whether or not you are fat. A woman with a naturally bigger bone structure is going to be in a bigger size even though she may be quite fit. I think more important than the number on the tag is proportion and general fitness. A 5'7" size 4 or 6 would likely be far too skinny in my opinion.

My wife is 5'7" and varies between a 12-14 with a larger bone structure and I think she is hot!

Right on man! I completely agree. If you're naturally smaller, or have less muscle mass, you make look "chubbier", but if you're like me (I have my Sicilian dad's body type) you're curvy, but incredibly muscular. People can never believe my size. It's all how you carry the weight. But hon, I'd say you're in a great size. As long as you walk for exercise and maybe do some slight muscle toning (just in time for summer!) you're in great shape.

It depends on your bone structure and your body type. I don't think it is fat though, at 5'7 you would be fat at a size 14+. I'm the same height and I used to be a size 10 and I wasn't fat, just thick in all the right spots. Soo don't worry about being fat you're good. Just because you're not skinny doesn't mean you're fat.

Jessica Simpson is really short, maybe like 5'3 so I don't think she's as high as a 12-14, to me she looks more like a 6-8. When she was thin for her Dukes of Hazard role she was only a size 2.

So I think that's a size UK 14? If that's right then you're no way fat-im shorter than you and used to be size 14 and I wasnt even fat then so you defo can't look fat. Id say overweight was size UK 18+ which I think is size US 14.

bone structure has a lot to do with it, my friend and I are pretty much the same height and weight but she has a smaller frame so she can fit into the size below me.

Search Body Mass Index Calculator in google. This will tell you the medical standard for when you are considered "Fat". Anything else is just peoples opinions and really, they don't matter.

I'm no where near being considered overweight (i'm on the lighter end of healthy)...but that usually doesn't matter with guys, they tend to be drawn to the women who are on the verge of underweight.

Not really. I prefer girls who are just a bit smaller then me, or even the same. Seein as I'm about 70kg's, this includes most girls.

Yea I'm a size 42. God you have a very small waist. There is no way your fat. I didn't even know there were size 10s. I was a 28 in high school but I think that's the smallest I've ever been.

Aw, you're cute. Men's sizing is COMPLETELY different from women's. Your pants go by inches, but women't goes by weird numbers- 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16, etc...
