They test like avocados! =P Go try try one and then you will know... Different varieties have slightly different texture and flavor but in general they are smooth creamy/buttery texture and taste light, nutty, and mildly sweet. I like them. I grew up eating them. The first house I ever lived in had an avocado tree in the back yard.
I either slice/cube them and then put olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and maybe garlic powder on them, maybe have them mixed into a salad, maybe put a few slices on a grilled chicken sandwich or in a burrito, or squash it up for guacamole.00 Reply

They are amazing!
BUT
If they arn't ripe, they are completely gross. And unfortunately I have no idea on how to check, so I have stopped buying them. My mother always used to know when they were perfect. I should probably ask her some time.
They are great on sandwiches. If you are a vegetarian, they have a nice thick texture that helps fill the huge void a lack of meat has in a sandwich. Even if you are not one, they are darn tasty00 Reply

What Does Avocado Taste Like?
Avocados are a versatile fruit that can be used in sweet or savory dishes. They have a creamy texture and a slightly nutty flavor. Avocados are a good source of monounsaturated fat, which can help to lower cholesterol levels.
When choosing an avocado, look for one that is firm but yields to gentle pressure. The skin should be unblemished and the stem should be intact. Avoid avocados that are bruised or have brown spots.
To prepare an avocado, cut it in half lengthwise and twist to separate the two halves. Remove the pit by gently hitting it with the blunt edge of a knife and twisting. The pit should come out easily. Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl and mash with a fork or blend in a food processor for a smoother consistency.
Avocados can be used in a variety of dishes, such as salads, soups, sandwiches, and dips. They can also be used as a healthy alternative to mayonnaise or butter. Try adding mashed avocado to your next sandwich in place of mayonnaise or using it as a dip for fresh vegetables.
Is avocado sweet or sour?
There are a lot of things in life that are pretty clear cut - black and white, good and bad, sweet and sour. But every once in a while, something comes along that throws us for a loop because it doesn't quite fit into either category. Like the avocado.
Is it sweet or sour?
The answer, my friends, is both.
Avocados are technically a fruit, and fruits are typically sweet. But avocados also have a bit of a sour tang to them. So which is it?
- The simplest explanation is that avocados are both sweet and sour because they contain both sweet and sour compounds. But that's not the whole story. The sweetness or sourness of a food is also affected by other factors, like how ripe the fruit is.
- A ripe avocado will have more sugar and therefore be sweeter, while an unripe avocado will have less sugar and be more sour. So if you're ever unsure whether an avocado is sweet or sour, just give it a taste. If it's ripe, it will be sweet. If it's not, it will be sour.
But no matter what, avocados are always delicious. So go ahead and enjoy them, whether they're sweet or sour.
Does avocado taste bitter?
No, avocado does not taste bitter. In fact, it is quite the opposite! Avocado is rich and creamy with a slightly sweet taste that is often described as nutty. While the skin and seed of the avocado can be bitter, the fleshy part of the fruit is what we eat and that is not bitter at all.
So why do people sometimes say that avocado tastes bitter?
Well, it is all in the mind! When we eat something that is bitter, our brain associates that taste with a negative emotion. So, if we eat something that is slightly bitter and we are not expecting it, our brain may interpret that as a bad taste.
However, if we are expecting to taste bitterness (like in a cup of coffee), then our brain is more likely to interpret that as a good taste. So, if you are someone who generally doesn't like the taste of bitterness, then you may not enjoy avocado as much as others. But if you are open to the taste of bitterness, then you will likely find that avocado is a delicious and creamy fruit that is perfect for spreads, dips, and more!
Does avocado taste like egg?
This is a question that I get asked a lot, and it's one that I'm happy to answer. Avocados and eggs are two of my favorite foods, so I'm always excited when I get to talk about them.
The simple answer to the question is no, avocados do not taste like eggs. But that's not to say that the two foods don't have some similarities. Both avocados and eggs are rich in healthy fats, protein, and vitamins and minerals. And while they don't taste exactly the same, they do have a similar creaminess that makes them both delicious and satisfying.
So, if you're wondering whether or not you'll like avocado based on how much you enjoy eggs, the answer is probably yes. But even if you're not an egg fan, I think you'll find that avocado is a delicious and versatile food that's worth giving a try.
Does avocado taste like nothing?
There are a lot of things in life that are subjective. What one person loves, another person may hate. It’s what makes us all unique and special. But there are some things that are just objective facts.
And when it comes to the question of whether or not avocado tastes like nothing, the answer is a resounding no.
Sure, some people might not be the biggest fan of avocado. But that’s usually because they don’t like the texture or the taste. Avocado has a creamy, rich texture that can be off-putting to some people. And as for the taste, it’s definitely not bland or flavorless. Avocado has a very distinct, slightly nutty taste that some people love and some people hate.
So if you’ve ever wondered if avocado tastes like nothing, the answer is no. It may not be your favorite food, but it definitely has a taste.

Its quite high in fat, but 'healthy fat'. I wouldn't eat an unlimited amount but there's a good place for some in your diet.00 Reply
