Which were/are you most hyped for?

I though the SuperBowl was going to be more exciting but "Talk" was more exciting then the "action" before the game. Bruno Mars & Red Hot Chilli Peppers killed it.

The winter Olympics should be interesting but I guess I am mire hyped about FIFA! I'll see how my far my favs will go, USA, Mexico & Spain. :)

This year's Superbowl was a non-event. Even the commercials weren't that spectacular. How I miss the days when you could run a whole Superbowl ad campaign with talking animals slapping each other, like they did over a decade ago. The Budweiser Lizards were a classic. The Coke ad this year and its hype were pathetic. I would've been even happier for the Seahawks if the Broncos had actually showed up for the game, instead of being asleep at the wheel through most of it.

I do hope that Russia cracks down hard on the sex-deviant whacko lobbies, and doesn't let them pull a ton of crap to hijack the Olympics for their causes as they've threatened to do. Scotland is now a homofacist tyranny, via a new law passed through intimidation of its opposition. Props to Putin for not taking that sh*t.

Otherwise, I don't know what to expect of the Winter Olympics, really. I couldn't care less about FIFA. I hear Atlas Shrugged, Part 3 is coming out later this year in theaters. Let's hope it fares better than parts one and 2 did.

I'm looking forward to the Olympics because there is a variety of sports that aren't often televised.

The Super Bowl? Nah, I couldn't care less about it. FIFA? I'll probably watch some but football is more my s/o's thing. He's a huge fan.

Sochi, I'm always most hype for the Olympics since they only come every for years. I love ice skating. Super Bowl second. Soccer I'm not hype for, I can't make myself sit there and watch it.

The Winter Olympics. Because although Belgium doesn't have many athletes there (8 I think), I've got this feeling we're gonna grab a medal in ice skating. And most other top competitors are Dutchmen.

There's this healthy spirit of competition between Belgians and Dutchmen.

We like each other but Belgians make jokes about avaricious Dutchmen and Dutchmen about dumb Belgians.

I'm really looking forward to the Sochi Winter Olympics. Like I mentioned a while ago, I'm really looking forward to watching the snowboarding and ice hockey. I'm really exited for the 2014 World Cup as well, I'm rooting for Spain also along with Germany and France.

Olympics and World Cup are close. Hockey is my favorite sport and that's really all I care about for the Olympics. World Cup is exciting though. USA has no chance

I enjoy F1 but it's hard for me to follow since most there races are in the middle of the night west coast time, and I can't control what gets recorded.

I was about to say "just DVR it" lol...why can't you control what gets recorded? That's how I keep up with most of the races (the ones at weird US hours). It's either that, or wake up at 7 eastern time haha

Everytime I record something it gets erased in 5 seconds by someone else. That's 4 am my time lol. So what do you think of the double points for the last race?

Eh, I'm not sure. On the one hand, it does seem like it could add some spice to the season.

On the other, it doesn't seem all that fair and I didn't like it at all when NASCAR got too involved with their drivers, using that "Chase for the Cup" system. I don't think double points is nearly as bad as that, but it stands to screw a lot of guys who have raced well up until the last race. It kind of focuses more on the front runners, and leaves a lot of screwage for the middle guys.

Yeah I get that. For me Nascar was ruined by the chase for the cup. I know it's not quite as bad as Nascar's idea but it kind of effects the credibility of all the races if you have one that awards more points. Just my opinion though. Do you watch other racing series?

The only ones I seriously follow/watch are F1 and MotoGP, though for some reason I've fallen out of habit a bit with it. Other than those 2, I'm either watching MMA or some random racing series I happen to catch on (when it comes to what I watch in regards to sports).

I use to watch MotoGP about 10 years ago. Now I either F1 or Indycar since I know someone who works inside their series that can give me tickets when they come to California. I am good at following pretty much any sport though.

Yeah, I've kept up with it over time. I ride motorcycles myself, so that might have something to do with it lol. I've tried watching IRL but it just doesn't grab me that much.

I have always wanted to have a motorcycle but living in the big city it wouldn't be much fun with all the bad California drivers haha. I am not really sure why I stopped watching MotoGP though. The IRL got better the last couple years since they merged the two American open wheel series. I had the opportunity to go to an IRL race in Vegas a couple years ago but couldn't make it, which luckily would have been a disaster since one of there biggest drivers got killed at the start of the race.

Well depending on how far away from the unpopulated areas you are, a motorcycle is still useful for that sort of stuff. And trust me, you become a bad driver magnet when you start noticing all the horrible drivers out there (since you have to pay attention to yourself AND to what they're doing).

Yeah, I remember Wheldon's crash. It was pretty nasty to see but something to that extreme is almost unavoidable.

Yeah true, I have been looking at living at a more sub-urban area to live instead of right in the city. Yeah it's kind of just disheartening to drive anywhere though since I live in the city, from the moment I leave my driveway I am in bumper to bumper traffic.
