We have lots of private venues for music, dance, culture...

But for just one venue... the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts... they received $269.5 million from government since 2016. In 5 years, their leader received $5.1 million!

That... is a lot of $! We are $37 Trillion in debt... and that is not passing an Audi... we know it is worse.

I don't know. That salary is pretty outrageous. But I am generally in favor of government sponsoring cultural and educational things like museums, local philharmonic orchestras, parks, etc., that benefit the citizenry.
I would rather cut spending on war and foreign aid.

good point, I value the free museums. if cost too much, many would mis that history.

I really don't know why we pay them anything... but I've heard noone talk about cutting that aide. It just says it is not viable on it's own two feet... which is surprising as they have some talent and industry. Hopefully we will see some cuts there.. but I suspect the price goes way up to rebuild.
