Less censorship. To have greater censorship would undermine the very purpose of a democracy.
Honestly, anyone should be able to express any idea through art as so long it does not cause direct harm (say an artist made a forgery, that has no other purpose than to steal off of someone else’s work).
The current Miller test, I believe is a very very terrible test. The Miller test determine something is obscene if:
1. Whether "the average person, applying contemporary community standards", would find that the work, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest,
2. Whether the work depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct or excretory functions specifically defined by applicable state law,
3. Whether the work, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.
The first and third prong is flawed. Firstly, how does one determine this hypothetical “average person” and how he or she would apply contemporary community standards? Secondly, it easy to determine if something doesn’t have scientific purpose, but how does one determine what lacks literary, artistic or political purpose? The last three aren’t as objective. Does pornography lack artistic purpose? Some might argue it is art. Are erotica literature considered to have a literary purpose? The Miller test is a very unhelpful test.

there should be no censorship of the arts... the nearest we got to it recently in the uk was the government trying to ban drill music saying the language used incites violence... one of the main artists involved in drill produced this track in answer to that charge levied towards the genre... every word used is taken directly from speeches made within the houses of parliament by the very politicians debating a possible bill to censor drill music. its worth a listen even if you dont like the genre just to see the hypocrisy

Less. I wish songs didn’t blurb out cuss words. Children can learn how to appropriately/inappropriately use curse words too. It’s all about how it’s done. To me it’s kind of like alcohol - when kids learn about curse words and alcohol at a young age, they are more likely to be more responsible with them in the long run. Sometimes I feel like the curse words or “dirty” parts of songs are integral to their meaning and rhythm and it doesn’t do the song justice to blurb them out. Aka: Rap
Definitely greater censorship. The fact that such things have all but utterly completely destroy young girls self esteem before they're even 16 says it all.
Displaying naked or half naked, edited to perfection does more harm than good in my eyes. Maybe it's deeper than censorship or lack thereof, but for me there needs to be a change... but won't be.

I don’t support any kind of censorship. *sneezes* “political correctness!“
Especially censorship of entertainment, art or common freedoms. When a group goes to great lengths to censor something, it’s obvious that whatever they are trying to censor is so powerful and or is a sign that said group is insecure about their own stances. In fairness I am happy enough with the censorship in Ireland, it really has to cross a line to get banned. For TV/Films there are age grades , even movies that get banned turn up in special art house cinema showings, I have seen one or two and in my view they deserve to be banned. They claim to be conveying a deeper message but to me this could be achieved without gratitious violent sex, abuse and offence.
However that does not take away from society's subtle subconscious effort to censor and we have controversies whipped up in the media often over certain things to create a narrative.Both.
In my country is cool about it (at least for now, the president is kinda facist, so I don't know if it's gonna last much).
The laws allow you to do kinda whatever you want, as long as you don't hurt anyone and do it in the right place. Sometimes some pastor comes to be dumb, but most times is ok. There is some big injustices here and there, but most time is ok
I live in Brazil, by the wayLess !!! As in ZERO!!! You should be able to express yourself through art with complete creative freedom. Granted there are some things that are just morally wrong like rape or murder. People have become such pussies these days & think they have the right to bitch & be offended by everything.
I think less censorship everywhere not only art. I think you should be nudity allowed on TV. Seems to me the more they censor, the more ravenous that culture is
In my country luckily there isn't any kind of censorship. I live in a free state where freedom is a right for everyone.
I don't support censorship because it is something used by the people with power who are scared about something so they prefer to "eliminate" that threat.I feel like there should be an option but not held back because suppression has never been a good thing. But for example a new pop album should have an explicit version and clean version of which I'm sure they do. But it's honestly tough to cater to the public, some want raw and uncensored while others would like to not hear all of that. How does one find a fair balance?
The people, men and women who were in this country prior to 1776 decided against legal ramifications to possibly sacrifice their lives for the freedom of speech and press. For 80 years only the elite got their concepts out through mass media. The internet has given the people the opportunity to rebalance that political influence. Regardless of what you believe or what might be polar opposite, America was founded on the idea that we all differ and should express those differences. If done freely we have a chance to grow.
It depends what you consider Censorship. Putting Altered Pics of Celebrities and Models to make them look Perfect should be Censored Outlawed. Airbrushing and Altering Photos to mske people look different is why Plastic Surgeons and Funeral Directors are becoming so Rich!!! Everyone wamts that Perfect Look that Doesn't EXIST...
Less for USA. Bodies are natural and if you are watching a show like live pd it is kind of common sense that... Your watching actual police footage so you should be able to see what they see, especially if you have an interest in becoming law enforcement or even an EMT/first responder... I guess nurse doctor and any other personnell in the health field
What they really need is a content warning at the beginning of each show.
For example: Shows drug use as positive, promotes homosexuality as normal, etc. Then people could block shows based on the content criteria they choose, not just a bland rating system of MA, PG13, PG, and G. Those ratings don't give enough information and aren't specific enough.I dislike censorship of anything. If you dont enjoy a thing, you have eyelids, close them and dont look. Cover your ears if it's a sound. And disagree if it's an idea. If you rely on censorship to keep you safe from media and ideas you dont like/disagree with, well sorry but not everyone agrees with you.
arts are not censored in my country. i guess unless it involves child pornography but that's fair in my opinion.
Censorship needs to go away entirely, or be left to parents, if anyone.
We now have a society that is ridiculously fragile, petty, and easily offended. It is largely because they have little to no perspective of reality.I'm generally not a big fan of censorship, and I'm getting very pissed off with the 'woke' brigade shutting down freedom of speech, deplatforming people they don't agree with etc, so I'm going to say there should be less.
None or little with rare strict exception. Censorship is a tool of tyrants. Fascism depends on the restriction of expression and independent thought to exert authoritarian control over a population.
0 censorship. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are critical to any modern society. The arts should be free to express themselves however they see fit, so long as it does not harm others.
Too vague.
I am not aware of arts being censured in USA.
It would just depend on the specifics... if you want to put X rated cartoons on Disney... no.I am for freedom but it must not exceed certain limits, In my country there was a humorist who was banned because he pronounced anti-Semitic and negationist remarks. I think it's a good thing.
