Would you go to a music festival on your own?

So I’m going to Europe to see family and friends this summer, but I’ve seen my favourite band Queens of the Stone Age are playing at a festival in Italy. I don’t know anyone there.

Would it be weird for a girl to go on her own to a festival? Pros/cons?

OMG, that sounds super fun! I don't normally like going places alone. Mostly because I don't feel safe when it's just me, but also I really like experiencing stuff with other people.

I have gone to one concert alone. I was really scared, I had to walk alone too and from the venue at night. That part wasn't fun, but I had a blast at the concert. I was able to go where ever i wanted. I didn't have to worry that everyone with me could see or that we weren't blocking anyone. I didn't have to worry about loosing anyone or worry that my friend would get back from the bathroom before the next song played. I'd say it was worth it.

I'd look up the area to see if it's safe for a foreign girl to be walking around alone there, but I think Italy is probably safer then the US.

I’ve done it several times. A few times for Boston Calling where I’m from, and once I flew to Texas for Austin City Limits. I usually go to concerts solo anyway.

I always have fun. I’m also very comfortable being alone in a crowd, and I’m not dependent on others to have a good time. I’m very adept at making fast friends, so I’m not necessarily alone the whole time. I’m also a huge mosh pit guy, lmao, so if it’s that kind of show, that’s where I’ll be, and I don’t need friends for that, I’m in animal mode.

So I’d say it’s cool, but maybe a somewhat different dynamic as a woman. It’s probably fine somewhere like a festival, but obviously you’d want to be mindful of your safety. Other than that, I think it could be a good time👍
