Struggling to relate to people since most people are addicted to drugs, media & fitness nowadays & don't do much else?

Need advice. Doesn't feel as if people like the hobbies I'm into or at the least people in my age bracket give off that. I'm more addicted to the craft of film, tech, and books stuff that has a level of sophistication. It seems like people don't have an attention span for things I'm Into. I don't know where I can find those who would relate to me or could click with me in this day age. It seems like people don't leave their homes.

Yeah we don't leave our homes, because there's less places to go and less people open to meet in those places. Your best bet is to start online and research if there's any local groups in your area who do something you like, such as a book or film club, or perhaps find readings or showings or classes scheduled nearby and attend one to try and meet people also into that sort of thing. Maybe frequent a tech store or book store and keep an eye if they have any special events you may attend and meet someone at.

Also your chances will be better if you stay open to people who also like other types of media and fitness too. Someone may like film and media, or books and fitness, and you can still have a lot in common even if you don't share everything. Most of my friends are video gamers and I am not, but we have other interests in common.

I already had a look yesterday in regards to online clubs and couldn't find anything nearby. Also tried the meetup app.

In person clubs I mean, could post events online. I found a local group through checking on weekend events in my city, one weekend I saw a meeting and went. It only happens once a month so it took a while for me to check on the same weekend it was happening. Maybe there's groups in your city you just haven't come across yet, especially if they aren't much into media and don't have much of an online presence.

I used to be interested in a lot more things when I was younger. Now I am planning my vegetable garden, getting ready for the beach, and working out 4 or 5 days a week.

Fitness is an easy addiction to explain. Endorphins released during exercise causes a sense of euphoria that helps a person forget their aches and concerns for a short time.

Look for an older crowed ik I have a hard time relating to people my age becuase I don't party or smoke in anyway so I find I get along with older people better
