Sebastian Stan, the actor who played Trump and won best leading role, delivered a widely lauded performance that depicted Trump as the craven, opportunistic, predator he truly is. The film depicts a harrowing scene in which Trump sexually assaults his then-wife Ivana.
"The Apprentice" snagged five wins overall, winning Best Film, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Makeup, and Best Hair.
Bekerman hailed Canada for having the courage to recognize the film properly.
"But Ali, I told you, you have to come to Canada if you want to find some guts in this industry," he said to director Ali Abbasi.
Trump himself is acutely aware of the movie and previously unleashed a Truth Social rant calling it a "cheap, defamatory and politically disgusting hatchet job." He even threatened to sue over it, but never followed through.
Andrew Rankin, the winner of the best movie director prize for his movie "Universal Language," also appeared to throw some oblique shots at Donald Trump.
"We all know what political moment we’re living in. Every day there are new Berlin Walls shooting up all around us and pitting us against each other in very cruel binaries," he said. "And if our film stands for anything, it stands for the fact that kindness can be a radical gesture, and that’s really what we believe in now more than ever."

It is fashionable for liberals to hate President Trump and it is easy for these losers to criticize what he is doing. Meanwhile he is making America great again and every day there is something else that Trump does to help the country.
