I dance like nobody's watching. Does that count as know how to dance? 😂

Me dancing 💃🏻 Jokes apart, I do. I'm not professionally trained or anything but I feel the rhythm and know how to move. So, I guess I'm a pretty good dancer but I realised long time back that I don't like to have a big audience, lol. It makes me awkward and nervous and then I can't enjoy myself. So, I dance only when I'm with close friends or when I'm all by myself.

Asker1 ySo you enjoy dancing by yourself? So do you do it in front of a mirror or something? Or do you just like moving around cause it keeps you busy π
Asker1 yBut how often is that, it most likely means you always dance by yourself basically, probably in front of the mirror, testing out new dance moves like "πΊπΌ" yep that's the one lol
m 1 yI rarely cook and clean as I have a house help but yeah, when I try out a new move I have to be alone to have a look whether I look smooth while making those moves or look like I'm being electrocuted πππ I know how friends would pick on me until I die if I come up with few moves that makes me look ridiculous π€£ Gotta double check π§
Asker1 ySo you are telling me you have those musical moments where for some reason you and your friends randomly dance cause I see no realistic situation where you have to show any dance moves to anyone, you just walk around and go like "ey check this out" then follow that up with busting a move cause I can't think of a time where you actually have to dance unless you spend a lot of time clubbing or something π
m 1 yNo, no, no! I dont't just get up and randomly dance. I've lived with girls in a pg home for years you will be surprised to hear how many times we heard some good music on tv or someone played music on their phone and we started singing along and even dancing π€£ I don't live in a pg anymore but sometimes my friend/friends is over and we hear some good music, one starts dancing, I join in, lol. Also, we dance at weddings, concerts, clubs, etc. I rarely ever go clubbing though. I'm not into clubbing as I met too many strangers who like to get touchy freely so my guy friend/friends had to come between me and those guys π¬ Awkward
I have been to clubs but I am not into it.
Asker1 yClubs suck, I understand it from my point of view tho since there's nothing for me in those places but extrovert dancing kinda sounds like a decent place to share your dance moves lol
Although if the touchy stuff happens a lot, I can see why it would take your mood away on wanting to go to such places
m 1 yAwwwww! You never really came across as any or introverted π I can see why you don't go clubbing. I'm not very shy or something. I'm an ambivert. It all depends on my mood and setting. From the time I was a kid to the time I was in my late teens, I realised dancing on a stage is something that doesn't bring me joy. In fact I hated it as a little girl, I didn't like the audience observing me. I remember how I ended up forgetting dance steps and almost cried when I saw all those people then I spotted my dad and he started doing the steps (that I was taught) in the crowd to remind me and encourage me to dance, lol. I danced along. But yeah, let's just say I do not like the places where I'll be observed by bunch of random strangers where I'm dancing. I enjoy only when I see others are too busy dancing around me to notice, lol
Yeah, it's a mood spoiler for sure. But it's okay, there are plenty of places and moments where I bring out the disco dancer in me π€£
Asker1 yDisco dancing is some next level awesomeness π
Sounds like you were traumatized into stage freight, sounds like that situation must have made you scared about it in general, even many years later you still think of the moment, you ever thought of facing that fear? π
m 1 yπ€£π€£π€£
That situation definitely made me not want to go up there and dance. It didn't exactly traumatised me but yeah that memory crosses my mind once or twice every 10 years but I never thought about facing that fear. I mean, it's not like me avoiding audience will affect anyone so why work on that is what I feel π But with that being said, I've grown into a confident person.. I could give a speech or whatever's on stage if my job requires me to do it.
Asker1 yWhat if your job requires you to dance on stage for some unknown, unrealistic, most likely completely off topic, uncommon, illogical reason, would you be able to do it? Or is it only for things like speeches and stuff, either ways you make a good point, you can only boogie by yourself, must be the limitations needed to balance your awesome dancing π
m 1 y"for some unknown, unrealistic, most likely completely off topic, uncommon, illogical reason"
π€£π€£π€£ In that case-
Just kidding. Maybe I'd give it try but if I froze again or don't enjoy it, I'd run away after a minute and run faster than Forest gump, lol. But yeah, I might give it a try once.
Hey! I don't actually do disco. I just like to make fun of myself. π€£ I can do club dancing, ball room dancing, even bollywood dancing, lol!! but yeah, why let strangers be the judge? I'd rather let my friends or me be one π€£
Asker1 yOh I thought you actually went disco, that would've actually been pretty fire ngl, but I guess the other ones are pretty cool as well, but you are right, don't give anyone the satisfaction to being a judge of your dancing π
m 1 yπππ
I want to share one of my favourite gifs before I leave, so... Here, lol.

thanks I'm not even french i'm italian American but i like to cook omelettes
Asker1 yYou even have the picture of authenticity, almost thought you were an omelette for a sec
- 1 y
yes lol, i am proud of the omelette from my profile. french omelettes are more fluffy and silky, versus American omelettes which are overcooked and stuffed with a pound of bacon and cheddar cheese
Asker1 ySounds like you are very serious with your omelettes, it seems your omelettes must pass a certain inspection and protocol before you even think of consuming it π
- 1 y
You have no idea how many youtube videos and how many failed omelettes I have made, I just turned them into scrambled eggs. Not to mention my pan sucks but I've msde it work.
Asker1 yThat explains your pride in your omelettes, it's like making a exquisite cuisine off leftovers or something

yes lol

Dancing is such a wonderful way to express yourself, and it's always fun to try regardless of your skill level! 💃 Even if you feel you can't dance, just enjoying the music and moving to your own rhythm can be incredibly freeing. If you're interested in improving, maybe consider taking some dance classes for fun. It's all about expressing joy and having a good time! 🎶β¨
