Have you ever put a rag over the speaker on a gas pump?

If you accidentally end up at one of those gas stations that spews ads at you while you fill up you can grab a rag and place it over the speaker. Lean on the rag and it blots out nearly all of the garbage coming out of it. You can still hear some but if there is a lot of noise like semi trucks idling across the lot or music playing somewhere it can block the ads out completely. So your grease rag isn't just a tool like a wrench it's a way to protect yourself at the gas pump as well. I think if someone made something like a rubber cup that you can put over the speaker as you get fuel it might sell.

Never seen or heard any ads while at a gas pump. Too busy pumping gas to care if there were. I'm more concerned when watching Fox News on the TV why they have a commercial every 5 minutes. The other news stations are just as bad.

I don't watch TV at all, I haven't in decades so I don't know that much about the state of it. Hopefully your aria will remain free of gas pump ads. Until I discovered the rag trick I would have to jump back in my truck right away and turn on the radio to drown it out while I filled up.
