A Windy Day on the Golf Course — Still a Great Game! ?

Today I went golfing with my friends, and it turned out to be such a great game!
I managed to make one birdie and finished six pars — not bad at all! Actually, I almost had a chance for a second birdie, but the wind caught my last shot and sent it off just a little too far.
The wind was definitely my biggest challenge today. Still, I had a wonderful time — fresh air, laughter, and a good round with good company.
That’s what really makes golf such a beautiful game.

Do you play golf too — or have any outdoor hobbies that make you forget about time?

I've never swung a golf club in my life, with my main outdoor hobby being fishing.
My wife and our adult son, though, are both avid golfers.
Our son took his high school to "state" for golf back in his senior year.

That being said, it's nice to hear that you experienced a challenging, yet satisfying round of golf with such appreciation.
The whole idea of recreation is to enjoy oneself, no matter the conditions, is it not?
I'm sure that your positive attitude went a long way in providing you with a pleasant outing.
