What do I do about insects chewing our plant leaves and leaving holes on the leaves?

Some of them are so good at hiding or avoiding me, I can't kill them with weapons and have to find other methods such as insect traps or insect killing scents etc...

It totally depends on what is chewing your plants.

If its for example slugs, well there is a certain flower type called "Tagetes" that they will like to eat more. So putting Tagetes next to your important plants will pull away the attention of slugs.

If its really insects, well it helps to let some friendly spiders live in the garden. They catch insects.

There are also very tiny insects that can infest your plants. Then the Ladybugs can eat them to help you.

Bottom line is, first figure out what is actually eating ur plants. And then pick a solution.

I think, You can use termeric, ants and other pests absolutely despise turmeric. Sprinkle the powdered kind around the base and leaves of your plants, or steep fresh turmeric in water and use it as a spray.

It depends on what's doing the chewing. If you can't see the culprit they're probably nocturnal so slugs could be to blame. I'd pay the plants a visit at night and see what's to blame before buying any pesticide.
