What do you do when you see a bug at home?

It depends on the type of bug. Whenever possible I catch it and put it outside unless it's too cold. If it's too cold I catch it and put it in the basement. After all, my house is built on their home. So I feel an obligation to try to help them.

But some bugs aren't as lucky like mosquitoes or ants. Mosquitoes get killed because they're trying to hurt me. If there's just one or two ants I may give them a break and put them outside. But when there's a lot of them I have no choice but to do something to kill the whole colony. I usually use borax. It takes several days but eventually does the job... And it has a low toxicity to humans.

Recently I found a stink bug! Fortunately there was no smell but even though it was below freezing.. sorry buddy... You're going outside.

There's lots of crickets in the house this time of year. If they're in the basement I just leave them alone, otherwise I put them outside because they'll probably survive it and they don't live long anyway.

Generally I leave spiders alone even if they're in the house. Most of them are good. Used to have a lot of black widows here but haven't seen many of those in many years.

If it's in the house, I'll try to catch it and put it outside where it belongs. If it's an annoying bug, squish it. If it's outside and it's not an annoying bug, leave it alone. Yesterday, I squished one outside that looked like a big termite. Last summer, I squished a number of lantern bugs. Cockroaches die instantly.

I am very respectful of life, at least I try to.

I am not scared or have no phobia of bugs and when I see a spider in my house, I take it and place it outside, either on the balcony if I am upstairs or on the veranda if I am downstairs.

Of course, I will kill the occasional mosquito that stings me but otherwise, I will try to avoid killing or stepping on a bug, worm or other crawling creature.

I have been taught to respect life and that includes life of animals. I will only eliminate a bug if it tries to harm me.

I prefer to catch 'em and put 'em outside. I have squashed some spiders before though not gonna lie. If a huge spider is running around at night, I'm sorry but 👟.

Depends on the bug. Files I kill or let the cats catch them. Roaches I kill/take outside. Kill white tail spiders (their venom is painful for humans but not lethal but can be lethal to animals), I leave all the other spiders alone so they kill and eat the white tails.

I scream and run for my life. One of my kids usually comes to save me with a shoe in hand. Thankfully I’m lucky enough to have an exterminator spray around my house every few weeks. I hate bugs I have an unnatural fear.

Depends on the bug. Some bugs are helpful, like spiders. So long as they stay out of the way, I leave them alone. Other bugs are bad, like cockroaches. I usually crush them.

Depends. Spiders, except for poisonous ones, I leave alone. Bees I help outside. A-holes with wings, aka wasps, I kill. For other pests I set out pet-safe bait traps.
