7 moI like to watch Ryan Holiday on YouTube, because he has taken a philosophy that most people thought was just generalities about life and turned it into a modern rebranded religion which is no easy feat. I also like to listen to inspirational music on YouTube because I believe it has therapeutic potential when you put it in on repeat. The problem is most of these songs are in Hebrew, and I believe I am too busy to become fluent in another language right now. A small fraction are in English, so I just listen to the English ones over and over again.

7 moI have a passion for spirituality often expressed through nature based rituals of my own beliefs. It has changed the way I view the world in so many different ways but the most important to me has been to learn that love really is the answer and it is ok to dare to be me on this adventure called life.

that sounds so cool!!🌲🍃 i am currently trying to rediscover my spirituality but it’s confusinggg
- 7 mo
Ty for the MHO 😊 And yes, it can get very confusing and then I realized it is actually ok to pick and choose what works for me. There is no right or wrong way to find your own spirituality. It's what makes you feel good.
7 moNovel writing has changed so much for me. I have learned so much about people in trying to design characters that I think are interesting through personality theory and psychology and the heroes journey story structure.
16 Reply- 7 mo
ohh that sounds so cool!!😊 i know literally nothing about any of those topics lol😅 what was ur favorite character u designed?
- 7 mo
In one of my present projects, there is this alien species that can fly in space (scifi fantasy, if you can suspend belief)
They have a few really cool abilities. The main thing is that their skin is covered in softness and has a magical / scifi effect to it. But they have these "retractable" scales (like a cats retractable claws) that come out and cover their whole bodies and mouth and nose like scaled armor.
here's the thematic part:
They cannot breathe while their "scale armor" is out. While they can hold their breath for a very long time, they do need to get down to a safe planet's atmosphere in order to breathe again eventually. (Like Starwars "space whales")
So one of the recurring challenges is balancing the two experiences.
Carmah is one of the main female characters, and she forces herself to be very strong and overcome really difficult challenges and will armor her way through it, sometimes while being shot at by very bad or traumatized refugee humans who have come to live on their planet.
But She does get tired and she wants to be able to relax and let go and feel safe enough to just simply be herself and breathe, but she has to trudge her way through parts of the conflict bravely and sadly, even though it is lonely and cold there surrounded by her enemies in the vacuousness of outer space.
I had the first inspiration to make this character when I was listening to the pop song "Unstoppable" by Sia. It's one of my favorites. - 7 mo
ohh wowww!! i am in love with this character already!!😍😊 she sounds like a Katniss (hunger games) kind of character!! i love it alreadyyy
- 7 mo
i hope she manages to find her peace🥺
- 7 mo
Yeah, I like strong female characters that aren't afraid to still be feminine and girly and that are genuinely heroic, brave, and good people, and not just toxic and narcissistic.
- 7 mo
yessssss!!💯 these are absolutely my type of characters, feminine+strong instead of just one or the other

Anonymous(45 Plus)7 moWhen I was younger I was primarily focused on my retirement, saving and investing so that in the future I had enough passive income to relax and enjoy life. Well, that day has come so to speak. But now my view on money has largely changed. Don't get me wrong I'm proud of what I've achieved. But life is a constantly moving goal post. Retiring isn't getting to a number and then resting on your laurels. Your nest egg has to continuously be attended to Healthcare is and ever present threat and inflation is a constant.
I always thought one day I'd have so much money and I could use that wealth to help others. But as I got older it became very clear I couldn't help some people from themselves. And even if that were not a problem I couldn't help them from the the system that will keep a majority of the people poor. I guess what I'm saying is my passion for investing and growing wealth has illustrated to me the problem of inequality in this world. Even if I had Elon Musk wealth (which I don't obviously) I still could barely make a dent with the suffering in this world and that pains me.
20 ReplyI always been a dedicated hard worker and worked my ass off for a lot of years to realize working for someone else really doesn’t get you anywhere , so I realized I had to start my own business, I always had a passion for brewing beer and drinking beer of course 😊 So my brother and I planted Hops about 5 years ago and after 2 years they started growing like crazy , so we began our journey with brewing beer and having a blast with it , my best friend joined us as well , so now we are the 3 Stooges brewing a variety of beers that we have been receiving a lot of great feedback from , so I am praying our brewery takes off so I can quit my day job 1 day

7 moGAG hasn't really become my "passion" but I do enjoy it and it has changed how I view the world. Watching things on TV and reading things online, you would think there's a war between the two sexes, because media gives the minority the loudest voice but on here, I've realized, for the most part, we still have a need for each other and a need for love. Sure, there's a few nut cases but most are respectful of one another and still want what our parents wanted and what our grandparents wanted.

aww that’s a cool revelation!!😊😊 sometimes when i open GaG i still feel like there’s a war between the sexes thooo🙈😵 maybe im visiting the wrong threads lol
- 7 mo
Stay away from "Politics".. Yes, there are haters and they are the one's that will stick out but they are in the minority. There are a lot of young men and women on this site that genuinely want advice on dating and romance. It's just a shame that you get the occasional troll that will attack them.
- 7 mo
ohh yess i always avoid “politics” topics!!😵 i avoid any topics where there’s a chance people are going to yell at me lol
- 6 mo
So interesting. Love this
u 7 mothere's a few, actually... there's a whole lot of things that I was very interested on and even passionate about but just to mention one... sports
I used to love sports, I always played it, I still play them... but the one thing I stopped was watching them as much, especially ~soccer or football~ (however you call it) because it is INSUFFERABLE nowadays and you cannot just watch any sports game without being bombarded, and I am telling you BOMBARDED with dozens upon dozens upon hundreds of thousands of gambling ads...
it's been awful for a while now with ads, but it was all kind of ads... nowadays, is all about gambling, and getting scammed... it is no longer about the love of the game
the worst part is that, now the sport itself (not the TV networks) but the actual clubs are in it... they are the one selling out the sport and the game
it sucks ass114 Reply- 7 mo
oh noes!!😲 that does suck!!😵 i’ve never really watched sports, unless it’s some big game & it becomes a social event! but that sucks that it’s just become about gambling/ads now😵
- 7 mo
what sports do u play?🤔 i used to play all the sports too!!🏃🏻♀️ now i just try to stay in shape lol
- 7 mo
yeah, same... some events from the Olympics (every four years) and some final games from the World Cup (soccer, also every 4 years) and some NFL game finals... and that's it
nowadays, soccer is all I have left, lol... which is great, that's a workout for the whole body
I used to play football too, some rugby, and some volleyball... those are the ones I really liked to actually play - 7 mo
yess same, Olympics, World Cup & some of the football games here when people get excited and drag me along too!!😂
oh wowzers!!😲 u used to play every sport possible lol, out of those i used to play soccer too!!😊🙌🏻 - 7 mo
well... you're from Italy, no? lol...
I did try plenty of sports... but didn't like them all... basketball and baseball for example, I won't do those - 7 mo
yesss🇮🇹 but i grew up in canada🇨🇦 so maybe i was just genetically predisposed to play soccer lol
yaa i’ve never got the appeal for either of those eitherrr😅 - 7 mo
Canada?
didn't you do the ice thing with the sticks? lol
or snowboarding or something... because I sure would have done it if there was snow around
- 7 mo
“the ice thing with the sticks” omgg 😂🤣😂
noo i never did the ice thing with the sticks😅 im too bad at skating and it was too violent/scary for me
snowboarding i did do when i lived there, but i think i had a slightly different technique!!😆 - 7 mo

I knew you would get it though - 7 mo

I might even move to Canada myself, since I just found that there's earthquakes in Utah... - 7 mo
well i think there are lots of earthquakes in Canada too depending on where u go!!😲 so u would have to find the right spot in Canada lol

6 moRunning is one of my favorite hobbies. It's truly taught me a lot about personal growth and resilience. I love running long distances. It's a love /hate relationship with my mind and body because you're constantly fighting about giving up. Hard work does eventually pay off 🙌

7 moAll of my passions have shaped who I am and my direction in life. I have a love for psychology, philosophy, nature, health and fitness, design, and the concept of homesteading and campervan life
All of my goals and vision for my future in life are based on those passions.12 Reply- 7 mo
ohh interesting!!😊 psychology & philosophy sound interesting to me but i know nothing about them😲😅 nature, health, fitness are my jam thoo!!😊
it sounds like u really have u life/goals sorted out!!🙌🏻 - 7 mo
Yes mam! 😁
7 moWell lets see as a person with a few nerdy hobbies i do tend to see a lot of, i would call them grifters perhaps, trying to turn the hobby into something to profit over. For instance with video games you get people coming into the hobby just to try and make money instead of actually being into it because they're passionate about it.
So basically it's just more proof to me that capitalism will sink its teeth into anything and everything.
15 Reply- 7 mo
awww that’s saddd😣😣 hobbies/passions should be about ur love for it!! not about making money😵💫
- 7 mo
how do people even making money with video games thoo?🤔
- 7 mo
So there's content creators who just say anything or chasing any trend to get those views. there's also resellers who buy up older games for cheap and then resell them for astronomically high prices. these things just kinda make the hobby not fun because its less about being into it out of passion and more just because you want to make money.
- 7 mo
aww that sucks!!😵 why does everything just have to be about money!😣 it’s literally so depressinggg
- 7 mo
Its alright though i hear they are getting less in number after tgey realize it isn’t that profitable.
It is really practical psychology. Specifically girl psychology. Watch quite a few podcasts.
It is changing my view in that I now think girls are impossibly hard work.12 Reply- 7 mo
what exactly is “girl psychology” 😅🤔
- 7 mo
:) Female mating strategies essentially. We tend to over rate our conscious mind's role in decision making. I know though my instinctual mind is actually picking the the girls I like. I have good evidence for this.
A YT psychologist I like makes the point that we are still running the old software from one million BC. Not best adapted for the modern world but still calling the shots.
It just helps in making sense of the world.
I like bioethics for the same reason. It helps explain us to us.
there's lots. but i won't get to do them , one i wouldve liked to is to learn how to fly a plane or helocopter. thats a big unique club. i motorcycle. been doing that since i was 17. its changed my life... nothing like it... flying would be huge step up... time and costs to learn is too much to join that club... musician be another club. i was part of that for years... sports another... you tell me. whats. yours? have a great day

El mundo se ha vuelto loco. 😞
Well, mostly gaming, various video games taught me many things.
17 Reply- 7 mo
but what have they taught u?🤔 or is it secret?
- 7 mo
Mostly things related to strategy and creativity, and yes, you're right, some things are secret ;)
- 7 mo
How it changed the way I see the world? Not much, I already knew how evil some people can be... I don't need a hobby to learn that.
- 7 mo
i knew it!!😲 u don’t want me to learn how to be a strategic/creative expert too!!😤
ohh no, video games show how evil people are?🤔 im not a video gamer so i don’t think i understand - 7 mo
I'm sure you're strategic/creative already :D
Not the video games, but life experience. - 7 mo
ohh life experience, im sozz to hear that then😣
- 7 mo
Thank you for the support :)
Soccer or football. Actually, we can consider this from the perspective of many sports. That is to say, we learn how to win and how to lose. This, in turn, makes us more humble.

that makes sense!!😊😊 i used to play tooo!! ⚽️🏃🏻♀️
