Have you ever missed an event in your life that you really wanted to go to but couldn't? What was it?

I really wanted to go to the 3-day music festival at Woodstock in 1969 at Yazgur's Farm in New York.
All of the best bands played at Woodstock and it would have been a once in a lifetime event to witness and to listen to the best bands of that time play live.

Thanks, yup always talked to them and made arrangements for another family member to be there from my side due to divorce. My mom or sister and sister in law were always willing to help out and at times they'd all three show up.
I spent as much time with my kids as possible when not working and did lunch with them at least once a week at school.

A few years ago one of the guys I worked with was a real history nut. His ancestors came over on the Mayflower and he used to do the re-enactments. There is a replica of the Mayflower in Plymouth that was sent back to England to be restored. Then it was to be sailed back to Plymouth. My friend told me there was a lottery to be part of the crew. He said they would supply training and I would earn a rating from the Coast Guard. We would wear period costumes as we sailed into Plymouth Harbor.

We both entered the contest. I won a spot on the ship but my friend did not. I was really psyched about this I ended up having hernia surgery instead.

I really wanted to go to my ex girlfriend’s college graduation. She and I were dating at the time and she told me not to attend because my family had COVID at the time and she didn’t want me to bring the virus there. She was treating me like I was the plague.

WOW! Getting sick 🤢 is such a bummer. Especially when it makes you stuck at home when you want to go somewhere you had your heart set on.
I love your username (although it's a lot to type for the members). I had 🌸🍒 cherry blossom trees in my front yard that were very old and big. They were just beautiful every Spring when they would blossom. I would stop and stare at them for a while and take it all in. The simple things in life make me happy. 😊
