Music is just a hobby for me but I always laugh at how nobody takes naming this stuff seriously...

A skilled practicioner of sausage fattener can use it to make literally anything sound better by the way.

I never heard of endless smile before but smiles are what I do music for 😂.

it would be a big lie if I said that I didn't enjoy every single second of it... lol

well, that would be a lie too... parts of it are very annoying, but I kind of enjoy finding out solutions and troubleshooting

as for the naming... now I am just thinking if dashes, hyphens or underscores are the better... to be naming all of your files, lol

I love it. I have just got my new HP laptpp set up almost fully. I take great pride in ditching crap Windoze 11 and installing Ubuntu. It just works ad software is free.

Very fun that you are into it enough to put Linux on it. I ran it for many years myself (Manjaro KDE) but eventually did go back to windows since I am to much of a windows power user. I setup Windows LTSC instead and just strip it from the nonsense.

I hope though that your HP does not suffer the fate of mine. Its a unibody design where the keyboard is not a user servicable part. To do it you have to gut the laptop and take the entire top cover off which many shops who do keyboard repair dont seem to do. I wear out a keyboard in a year or so.

Generally I don't recommend recycling old windows installs. The drivers from the old machine often dont play nice. When my dad got a new motherboard his system kept bluescreening until I did a proper clean install on it after which it was fine.

Booting up a fresh PC is exciting, but the setup part can feel like a boss fight with 10 phases 😅. I’m the same with naming stuff in games and apps—half serious, half memes. It's normally a bit of a fight to get windows to install with a local account rather than an email. I guess they have tried to close more of the loopholes since when I got my computer a few years ago.

Maybe best to get linux.
