So, the traffic when I head to work is pretty bad, so I always leave extra early, just in case. There's a nice little cafe next to work so I grab a coffee then sit at work either surfing the net or reading books on my iPad until it's time to start my shift, and I usually do the same on my lunch break.
Yesterday, I realised I'd forgotten to charge my iPad before I went to bed, so when it was time to start, I put it on charge in the break room.
Later, when lunch breaks started, a coworker asks over the staff radio "hey what's the passcode to the iPad?" and I asked "why?" and they said "I want to surf the internet on it during my break" and I refused and told them to use their phone instead , they got really annoyed and said I was being selfish etc and the ipad is a bigger screen and better to use, and I'm not using it right now, just to let her use it, and I refused and now they're giving me the cold shoulder.
My manager is "staying out of a private conflict". Did I do anything wrong? Co-workers are split, some on my side, some are saying I should just let her use it, but I said I have private information on there, others said it shows a lack of trust of my co-worker.

Her unfounded sense of entitlement is not your problem. Ask her for the keys to her car. When sha asks why, say you want to go for a drive at lunchtime. When she balks, say OK give me your wallet. When she calls you delusional tell her, same principle with you demanding to use my iPad. I'm gonna bet she will not be able to make the connection.
Not even slightly. It's yours, so you decide who gets to use it. She's not entitled to it at all
lol, you didn't do anything wrong. That coworker is nuts.
you are not wrong. Your computers are personal.
This about being a germophobe
ummm I'm not a germaphobe, how did you come to that conclusion?
Because I figured maybe her putting her fingers on the tablet just to scroll around and maybe you don’t like that that was my guess
Depends on the individual's reputation
