My cars are two 2020 Nissan Altima SL's and one 2022 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive. I have no plans to change out any of them. The Nissans are durable, reliable, and comfortable, stealth cars that attract no attention. I have a Nissan dealer 10 minutes from my house. The Porsche is garage art. The last of its kind. And way more reliable than my neighbor's Ferrari California.
I'd honestly probably never buy a Ferrari even if I had the money. Maybe a red Barchetta though.
@MysticDevice,
Agreed. Between Ferrari's arrogant business model that governs who can buy one and who you can sell your used Ferrari you never actually own the car. All I know is I don't need to own one. I'm not sure what year my neighbor's is but it's classic Ferrari red and stands out like a sore thumb. And I see that thing being loaded on a trailer probably 4 times a year. I'm not sure if that's maintenance or repair work. But it spend more time at the dealer than he does driving it. He'll generally take it out on a nice Sunday morning for an hour or two. Then it goes back in the garage for a month or so. It does look nice. But the California is not particularly fast nor does it handle well. It's Ferrari's GT car for retired dentists. And that's the way my neighbor drives it.
In contrast, I drive the Panamera like I stole it once in a while. And it's an incredibly capable sedan. It never breaks and it's not tough to maintain. The dealer is about 17 miles / 25 min away. Porsche doesn't tell me what I can do with my car. And while it's a little odd looking and people may look at it wondering what it is, I don't think most people know much about it. It certainly doesn't get Ferrari levels of attention. Or even 911 levels of attention. But it's still a stupid car for daily use. Hence the 2 Altima's as my invisible forgettable transportation.
Mine is my mom's old one from when she got a new one this spring. Just over three years old.
Lol it's barely broken in
I know, lol. It was a big technology upgrade from the almost 8 year old Acura I was driving. That was a good car, tho.
Acura is just a fancy honda so I bet it was a really good car
It was. Just a little RDX suv. Now I have a BMW. 😍🫢
Ooh fancy!
Miss Fancy Pants.
Lmao, I know. Now we all have them. My mom got a new X3 and I got her old one. My dad has a ridiculous sports SUV they make and even my sister bought one on her own since she got her big girl job.
The Bavaria is strong in that household lol
(BMW is based in Bavaria)
Masie, what kind of car do you drive?
Mazda. It is a little suv like you have. It may be smaller. We got it used and it runs great. Perfect for the hour road trip two and from school when I want to come home for a weekend.
I think I know the ones. They are really cute. I always liked them.
You are lucky you are only an hour drive. I have four to get home. If just going for a weekend, it isn't worth it unless I leave Friday afternoon and get home late or super early Saturday morning and home by lunch.
Yeah! They are cute. It needs a cute nickname from you haha.
Oof four hours is a haul to get home. I am just the one on the highway.
Lmao, I will think of something.
I now go in style in my bimmer XD 😎
I drive a thrashed 2001 Honda Civic. It will not die. I love it.
Y2K Hondas and Toyotas reign supreme. I just got an 01 Camry I'm fixing up.
Great choice... parts are easy to find. I love cruising wreckers for parts.
Honestly I don't know how it was running at all when I got it lol
Sounds like a good project car for you... and you can actually work on it yourself.
My car is 13 years old. It's clean, it's well maintained, and most importantly it's paid off. I have no intention of getting an auto loan anytime soon.
2017 and holding up well. I’m ready to go back to pickups, but it will be a while before i’m comfortable taking on a payment again.
