For many years when my whole family came over to my house for a nice December 25th lunch I receive a gift from each relative, like one for each aunt, or one for each cousin who live by themselves but now they were a different family. We all gather at the living room and started saying the names for all the relatives and started to give gifts. The years passed, my dad passed away 8 years ago and no more family lunches at my house and I started to receive less and less gifts each Christmas after that. Now the relatives who used to give me something just like 5 years ago, they do not give me gifts anymore, not even my mom sisters give me something and they do nto give anything to her own sister either. So from some years until now. I dont practically receive any gift from any relative anymore, not just me also my siblings do not receive gifts anymore. Maybe the only relatives I receive a gift from are the ones who I go to have dinner with on December 24th (tomorrow) and those are one of my aunts and her children (2 children) those are the only relatives I now receive gifts from. Tomorrow only 6 people will be at dinner so maybe I will receive only 3 gifts that is all but from other relatives nothing anymore.

Realistically , there is really not a gift that I could receive that could be that great , as a big picture individual , its just not a realistic expectation , we all gave up on gift exchange years ago , and it makes all far more real.
I dont require unneeded products , its far more pleasant celebration this way.
