+1 yLast year we kept it up until the second week of January and the recycling services were closed so we had to take it to a forest and hide it in there like mission impossible. This year, we are definitely doing it while tree recycling takes them still! LMFAO

I don't put up Christmas decorations or a tree. My mom always took her stuff down on the 1st. One of my aunts always took hers down the next day. Those old cedar trees are dangerous to keep long. I have seen where a regular size tree went up in flames in just a few moments and that fire destroyed that entire part of the house. Take those trees down!

+1 yThat depends on my dogs 🤕. I' ll renove the decoration by Jan, 6th - if there's a chance. But my "tree" will stay longer (it simply returns to its previous status)

+1 yHowever long until I feel like putting it away. 🤣
In all seriousness though, typically before New Year's Eve. Mine is still up as of now, but will be likely taken down sometime this week. However, everything has been crazy this year, so this may be the first year it stays up past New Year's Eve if things continue the way they've been.10 Reply
+1 yUsually not much longer after New Years. Last year really sucked so I left it up until the end of January.
This year it'll be down around my usual time.10 Reply
+1 yUntil mid January, that's when the trees are getting picked up
10 ReplyI was always taught that the decorations were to stay up until 15 th January , they begin on 1 st week of December , I've always followed this schedule , it then encompasses a season not just a day , as to me its the season that's important , this encompasses Christmas , New Year , and my birthday. I will always follow this formula.

+1 yUsually we leave ours till the 6th-10th of January, a week or 2 after New Years
Traditionally all Christmas decorations should come down by the 6th of January. The 12 Days of Christmas starts on Christmas Day, so the 12th day would be January 6th10 Reply
