Anyone going on a Polar Plunge New Years Day?

I have done these before and it is a good day for it but I am not feeling well.

Not this year , no longer in the right city for that, but I have done it in the past on a very cold day with a few buddies. I did it in a speedo and It was awesome. Nice pic exitseven, that’s the one I did in Southie!

I did the whole plunge through a hole in ice once at the reservoir, for all I know we'd have to drill holes to do the plunge right now. It might not yet be frozen over but who knows.

I don't know how polar it would be, it was nearly 60 degrees here, today. If these people are so brave, why don't they wait `til the dead of Winter: early Feb?

Yes, there is one in February that is like that. I have never done it but may do it someday.

As for taking a plunge in the new year in past I have done it & as for this year it’s almost 80. f outside so I’ll take a cold shower instead.

Nope. But I do remember one year in the Upper Midwest when a young lady went into the water with a string bikini on. When she rose out of the water her bottoms fell off. Twas a sight to behold.

It was 50 degrees here which is unusual. I did my last one 5 years ago and it was in the 20s.
