Thousands of people do them, but have you?

I haven't done it yet, but it sounds like a good idea, just without the "mass" part. I've done it once on Easter (but the temperatures might have been similar at that time) and there was no one there except for my family. I guess I'm more comfortable in such a setting.
It's very cold here also. No that is not a thing here. When I worked for ski resorts we would jump in the snow then get in the hot tub. That's the closest I ever got.
Here is New Year’s Day and called the polar bear plunge but no I’ve personally never did
Sounds cold.
have you or will you be partaking in the event?

No, never. I hate the cold so I avoid such events. However, some people in my country actually take cold baths in rivers in winter, but not on Christmas or any other special day.
I knew some women in the Blue Tits swimming society who probably do, but I've never been that crazy myself.
Its summer in Australia , and its always summer in Thailand , so the answer is YES often.
In the US we do it on New Years day. I have done this before and I may do it this year.
No, I'd consider it if I prepared for it. Years ago, I jumped into a deep snowbank wearing only shorts!
No, the water here is already turned to ice. Makes for a hard landing when diving in.
No, I never have and never will. I like sea water in the high 70’s to low 80’s.
