Do you have any new years traditions that you faithfully live by?

Every year I shave my entire body on Dec 31st so that I can start the new year off with no energy from the year before and with new hair grow comes the new year.

I also clean my entire house and wash very single piece of clothing.

I also comb out my hair

This one has fallen by the wayside in recent years, but I used to eat a pickled herring sandwich at the stroke of midnight.

I picked up the habit from seeing my late father consume it when I was a kid.

It supposedly brings good luck, but I have no idea why people came to see it as a lucky traditional New Year's meal.

It tastes absolutely horrible.

I finally quit eating it.

These days, New Years is just another day to me.

My kids stay up to watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV. I go to bed early after a glass of wine and some time with my wife...

Not really, my mom usually just cleaned the house and threw outbhe water to "throw away all the bad stuff from last year" so that's pretty much the only New Year tradition I know (beside fireworks).

I was able to get rid of all of my teen OCD issues by losing one each New Year and using it as a vice to stick to it. It was the only thing that worked.
