Cause here it's pretty rare or some have some small decorations on their windows but like I will add a pic cause I'm on a walk right now but a whole ass street and nearly no decoration...

I took a look out the window and saw very little but I think its because there is pressure by local churches not to commercialize Christmas or turn it into a secular occasion so people might be afraid of being targeted by extremists if they display reindeer instead of signs of Jesus on their lawn. I'm a Christian and I don't think God cares whether you celebrate any religious holiday at all - it is beneficial to have holidays but it is not a religious scale that measures your moral or spiritual value by your celebrations.
What's an ass street?
Quite a lot of people have them. I don't, for the most part, simply because I just don't know where they all are and where they go. This is my aunt's house and she died a year after I got here. There's a lot of houses at the bottom of the hill behind me that have lights on but, last night, only 2 or 3 had them on! Christmas is over!! This mentality cheeses me off because, they put up the tree and decorations midnight Halloween night and leave them on `til the stroke of midnight Christmas night!! When I was growing up, the decorations went up about 2 weeks before Christmas, the tree went up the next week and everything stayed up `til the middle of Jan.!! I think people today take it all down Christmas day because they're so fucking sick of looking at it all for the past 2 months!! The cure for that is NOT putting them up UNTIL December and, that way, you get to enjoy it DURING the season, NOT 2 months BEFORE!!
I decorate my entire house inside and out.

My neighbor who is half a mile away (my nearest neighbor) really lights up the sky, the others not so much.
If I go into the city, then cities are decorated around the city offices and/or main street and lots of houses are decorated, entire neighborhoods.

Yes we do from 35 1920-1980 blow molds. Regular lights. Amazom all-star India with music and pulsating. Out street is like walking through history with the 1920-80 yesteryear, regular, air blown, and "clubbed lit and movement moving" homes.
None of us are really right !!
yep, they're still there and all over the city as well... lol
My immediate neighborhood doesn't have many Christmas lights. But a few neighborhoods nearby do. One, in particular, has an entire street where each of the neighbors tries to outdo the others.
So it’s kind of half and half. There are some neighborhoods that go all out and they’re a lot of fun to drive through or walk around but then they’re others that like your pics have nearly no lights. My street is pretty bare. But I love going for a drive here and there to enjoy some lights.
Once I saw how an entire house was covered with lights, 2 Christmas trees and reindeers in their garden. I wish I'd have took a photo but I was anxious how the owner would react lol. Some people don't like it. :)
Ich wünsche dir frohe Weihnachten (I wish you merry Christmas).
Oh yea it’s pretty common to have them around here. Some people really go all out.
Ohh damns that's actually pretty cool
Yes. We got a few houses with them including ours
For sure, many people here in the US do that.
Always every year. Some are the same but others change it up a little every year. I don't bc I don't have plugs outside for the lights. Working on it tho.
many houses do, some people are just not able to decorate due to age, illness etc.
No not everyone I remember when I was little my town would shine like diamonds in the night at Christmas time
Oh god yes! This is the Deep South, every house has a flag and lights, and everyone got them at Walmart.
not very much, it was more years ago but since electricity got so expensive it got way less
Yeah not many though. We have a place where you can list your house so people know where to go to look at lights.
There are some Christmas lights in my neighborhood. I used to have the biggest display in the town. I just don't have the Christmas spirit or money this year.
I don't have a neighborhood, I don't live in the city.
I don't even have a neighbor
yes, there are quite a few houses that have lights. I have a bunch myself.
We have lights as do some of our neighbors. But not all houses do in our neighborhood.
yes, fairy lights adorn a large portions of homes. Not as
much as 20 years ago, but yea, the movies are not to far off.
Yes. Everyone goes overboard here.
Haha sounds kinda fun but I guess it gets annoying after some time?
Not only place. Guy 3 doors down has them hooked to computer so they'll blink to the music... smh
With the music and blinking? yep
@Mansearching there's a guy doing that here too. It's impressive
Oh it is. Don't get me wrong. The creativity is great. Its got to stop at a certain time of night for sleep... lol
