How do you all feel about alternative trees?

have you ever had an alternative tree?

So one of my fondest memories I was just talking to my parents about is our Macramé trees we made as a family. A few times we all pitched in to make these almost Christmas style plant hangers that we simply spread wider and hung ornaments and lights on. It was so much fun and so much more special because we all pitched in on it.

So my question is have you ever had an alternative tree? Would you enjoy something off like that?

Alright then, I like it very much. It sits in the dining room window with bright light when I am up... Fresh cut from mountains 11ft in living room... like the smell.

They're fine. I like my traditional one, personally, but I'm not going to be upset of someone has an alternative tree or even no tree at all.

Not at all. For the last 10 years we’ve only decorated the fireplace but nope not even that. I dont feel like takingg down everything anyways

I mean I totally get not wanting to as it is a pain to take down. I would just make smaller and easier decerations. Like I wouldn’t do out side just like a mini tree or like some alternative tree. So it can just easily go up and easily come down. And have a small tote somewhere with just the Christmas decorations. Lol. Like I like the idea of the fire place.

I’ll prob never decorate for Christmas when i have kids. And there will be no Santa. I dont want them to end up disappointed like i was when i found out he wasn't real

I totally agree with the Santa plan! Lol! It just feels messed up to me that parents lie to their kids. And I mean if you’d rather not decorate for Christmas that is up to you of course. Lol! I just find it helps to feel a little more festive.
