The Great Debate: Why The Tree?

Question: Men - Would you rather share your emotions with a tree or a woman?

The question and it's predecessor cuts right to the heart of what men and women value most: emotional vulnerability vs physical security. So to be offended by ether question speaks volumes about yourself.

I choose the tree

The tree will not use my hard days against me in a later argument. The Cali Redwood won't judge me for being weak or try to draw comparisons to something it went through this past week. The VA Dogwood won't demand I share every emotional detail at a time when I'm just not comfortable and I just want peace, then get upset with me because I wasn't emotionally available. A tall gray oak will probably kill me a lot faster.

while trees may be great to talk to, they are not really great conversationalists. A big thing with emotional health, mental health is the ability to communicate with another person. Yes trees, pets etc can provide support but they are not great at giving advice.

The elephant in the room so to speak, is why would you not share this with a guy friend and not a tree? That’s the big one, knowing when to talk to humans….

for me, I talk to girls and share my emotions, it’s worked so far since I was 10, and also at times with my friends (male and female)

As for trees, I have a log burner, they burn really well and give off a nice bit of heat.

You make the best point there is. Instead of a tree if you don't want to talk to women, why a tree instead of one of your male friends? Why aren't men opening up to other men if they don't like opening up to women?

@mandyfire98 yep, there in lies the greatest problem for men’s mental health. Girls will invariably talk to their family and friends, the vast majority of guys don’t, it gets bottled up or of course they talk to trees.

my relationships with the women in my life are amazing, to say the least, they're very healthy, and positive... therefore the answer is obvious

Never ever tell your emotions to a woman

Every time you both get into a small argument she will bring that up and manipulate you

Definitely the tree. Trees don't think you're weak, or pretend to be supportive but then judge you for it later.
