Do any of you that have to work holidays ever trade holidays with a coworker? Maybe one holiday is more important to them than it is to you?

This year, I was scheduled to work today and have Christmas off but an older woman with a husband and kids, asked if she could switch with me, because being home for Christmas was more important to her. Of course I said, “yes”. My dad would do the same. Do any of you switch holidays with a coworker?

as a manager... I always do my best to give them the day free for most holidays

I can do the work myself, and if not possible... I try to do it as quick and with the less help possible (and nice bonuses are given as well, lol)

I have worked Christmas. It was fabulous. No one else is working and it's "Triple Time" - 3 times the wages per hour.

Christmas and Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day are the only holidays that I have off. I’m expected to work every other holiday

No, I don't have to work a holiday or trade with people. I wouldn't be able to trade anyway. I'm the only one who does my job at my job
