I never wear them since a lot of them can't really be washed and have a lot of stuff on them. I have a gingerbread sweater dress that can be washed though.

I haven’t myself either but Ugly Christmas sweaters and light-up hats aren't really that weird. Some of the designs may come across as weird, like you mentioned, but overall I think it's a fun tradition.

It's kind of our generation's twist on the ugly sweater party that older family members might do. And around Christmas time, who doesn't want an excuse to just let loose and do something silly? All the lights also put everyone in a festive mood. Plus even if the sweaters are ugly, they show off everyone's creative and hilarious sides. You never know what you might see someone wear.

It's also a great icebreaker if you end up somewhere with mostly strangers. Everyone ends up commenting on and complimenting each other's sweaters. To me, I think ugly Christmas sweaters are just a fun new tradition for kids today to share the Christmas spirit. Who cares if the designs are a little crazy? It helps make the holidays more enjoyable.
