A friend of mine converted to Christianity from Islam and he tells me that every year on the anniversary of his conversion date, God sends him a gift. One time he said it was the anniversary of his conversion, and at that time there was a power outage for over 12 hours and the lights were not working properly and the second his conversion date comes up, the lights in the entire neighbourhood go back on.

I think he also said good things would happen on that date, sometimes friends would drop off surprise home cooked meals they prepared for him or he would get invited to a celebratory party on that day for other purposes etc...

It makes me wonder if God will give me a gift around the New Year period. Maybe one of my favourite items will go on sale on Amazon or maybe my cousin will drop by with a surprise apple pie or maybe I will reconnect with a friend I have not spoken to in a while.
