As for New Year, should GaG unbloack everyone, or is that going to be disaster?

There are two kinds of blocks on here. One, you may have been called a name or gotten into a dumb argument and got blocked or got blocked. Some that I blocked I usually let out on bail for a time and see how it goes. I can always block them again if they re-offend. But we all have been blocked and not even had interaction with someone. You just have to shake your head. Then there are the people that you permablock and they will remain blocked until the cows come home. You also have the people who you block because they blocked you first. You just don't want to see their posts or they yours. These I place on a timer and see if I have been unblocked. If not they wind up on my permablock cell.

So true on the block because I got blocked first part, its a design flaw in the site. I don't want to block them back but if I don't they can comment on my posts and I can't on theirs which is not balanced.

I think it's not a good idea. I've blocked people that needed to be blocked. It feels like they are in jail now and can't try to pull their bull crap on me. It's my only defense on here.

This has been discussed before. It wouldn't be a disaster but therecarecreadons why people are blocked. What would be nice, though, is for GaG to let each user know who has blocked them, and allow one message, to see if the person who blocked them might consider unblocking them.

Every once in a while, I run into an interesting post and try to post an opinion, only to find out hat I am blocked. WHY? I have no idea, and it would be good to be able to communicate with the blocker and find out why they are blocked... maybe they should no longer be blocked. A life sentence for a petty crime is unfair.

About once a year, I unblock ALMOST everyone who I have blocked, so every year is the year of the jubilee! HOWEVER, there are a few people who I have blocked for very specific reasons and I doubt that I will ever unblock them.
