Do you go to church or mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Do you decorate? Have a good dinner or watch Christmas movies?

I have a set of movies I like to watch for Christmas but, I'm not exactly thrilled about sitting through all of them in just one night! I'll take several nights to get through them all but try to time it so the last one ends at the appropriate time.
I'd put up the tree the weekend before Christmas, maybe 2 weekends. If Christmas was on a Tues., I'd put it up the Sat. before the Sat. before. If it was on a Thu. or later, the previous Sat.. (I can't stand these assholes that put the tree up Halloween night and take it down at the stroke of midnight on Christmas!!)
Lay out the presents the night before, get up the next morning and open them, (my ex-sister has this boring idea to have everyone sit around the room and everybody takes turns opening one gift per revolution until they're all opened! YAAAAWN!!), then enjoy some of them for awhile while mom starts cooking part of the dinner.
Someone usually starts playing Christmas music and it runs the rest of the night `til shortly before mom goes to bed.
Around dinner time, either we get dressed up and go to grandma's house or my aunt's house for dinner or they all come to our house. We have dinner, sit around the table and talk afterwards unless some of us decided to play a few games of Kill before everyone starts leaving for the night. Most often, the women sit & chat while the men go out to the living room to watch football!! BIIIIIG YAAAAAWWWNNN!!! Edit the game down to JUST the footage of the cheerleaders and I'll watch it!!
After some chatting after dinner, mom and her sisters start clearing the table and doing the dishes.
Around 11 or midnight, everyone starts leaving except aunt Mary Ellen who talks so much her tongue could get a severe sunburn if she was trapped on the desert. She also feels everything HAS to be washed HER way (which isn't very clean!) so, she ends up staying `til 1 or 2 a. m. and mom can't WAIT for her to go!!
Everyone goes to bed by 2 or 3 and Christmas is over. For the next few weeks, we go visiting all of mom & dad's friends and our various local aunts & uncles to see their trees and decorations and they all eventually swing by for a few hours to see ours. This goes on at least `til the 2nd week of Jan. THEN we take the tree down and the house is back to normal, for a while.00 Reply

I like Christmas, but it’s mostly the same as any other day. At least my dog gets presents and we have a nice dinner together, my wife and I.

No religious traditions anymore, thankfully 👑
Watching Christmas movies (yes, Batman Returns counts!) and staying in with family. Even a board game or local play video games. The key is just spending time with family, unforced, organic.
