What’s your favorite holiday tradition, and why is it so special to you?

Do you prefer the excitement of giving gifts, or is there something else about Christmas that you look forward to the most?

It's cheesy, but, my favorite tradition is baking cookies with my mom. Started when I was 3, and we've been doing it ever since. Growing up, there was never a Christmas where we didn't bake Christmas cookies. As an adult, I've spent a couple of Christmases away from home, but I'll call her and both bake over video calls.

I spend my new years on goal setting and that is one of my favourite activities. Every year, at the beginning of the New Year, I will read a book or start a guideline to get myself going and fired up for the year.

My favorite holiday tradition is definitely decorating the tree with my family. We pull out all the old ornaments we've collected over the years, and each one has a story. It’s a time to reflect on memories, and it just brings everyone together in a way nothing else does.

My favourites are:

- to ignore the Coca Cola Man

- to refuse and to boycott consumerist exploitation of Christmas

- to have an increased focus on family harmony
