Do you often have snow for Winter holidays in your city?

I walk by the rig, it's gleaming bright
The pumps are thunder, and the air’s a fight
My heart beats for black gold, it fuels my dreams tonight
While snow falls in other towns, my mind's in flight
Is it snowing? I can’t say,
I’m lost in oil’s embrace.
Are you gonna feel this heat?
Are you gonna hear my plea?
The world's climate is burning, can’t you see?
The ice is thin but I won’t flee,
My heart beats loud for what could be,
A life entwined with black crude oil’s spree.
I dream of rigs and fields of blackened gold
The winter's cold is just a story that I've told
My heart’s set on this path, it’s what I’ve come to know
While snowflakes fall, my mind will never let it go
Is it snowing? I can’t say,
I’m lost in oil’s embrace.
Are you gonna feel this heat?
Are you gonna hear my plea?
The world's climate is burning, can’t you see?
The ice is thin but I won’t flee,
My heart beats loud for what could be,
A life entwined with black crude oil’s spree.

But as family guy said if fox said it, it isn't true. Lol.
It isn’t right now where I’m at (about an hour from home at bf’s place). My hometown averages more than 100” per winter 😱
You're welcome
I wish it was... there would be at least a reason for -1C... but now... it's fucking freezing and NO snow...

Nope. My wife and I live in a rural part of California below the snow line. It has never snowed at our house. It has been in the 50s (f) and rainy for the past couple of weeks.
It sometimes snows in the city 20 minutes up the mountain to our east in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, but hasn't done so this year. Now that it's winter, we'll see what happens.
It rained and washed out the thin layer I got. I’m right on the ocean so it doesn’t get hit as bad and turns to rain a lot of the time. Sometimes we still get smoked, haha. But not this time. Other parts of the state got a little more last week, but I think it’s all gone at this point, it warmed up and got rainy, as I said before. It’s a little foggy today, but clearer than this morning.
There are a few snowy days practically every winter, but we haven't had real snow in 20+ years, thanks to global warming. In my childhood we had many winters with 50-60cm of snow.
i just got a winter storm warning on my watch 🤔 but it's in the 50s here now and not expected to change the rest of the time i'm here 🤷♀️
Snowed a bit in PA when Visiting family. Rain now. xxoo
Where I live, snow is rare, though it does occasionally happen. No snow yet though.
We had about an inch of snow but it has melted.
Not currently. It's 61 degrees.
:O Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin degrees?
Fahrenheit
On the Fahrenheit scale it’s 71 & the last time it snowed was almost seven years ago.
Yess we had a white Christmas ❄️
Too warm for snow today, thankfully.
not even close... lol
Too bad...
yeah... Christmas and New Years... been wearing lounge shorts, lol
No. Been a long time since I have seen significant amounts of snow where I live. But I live only a bit over an hour from one of the nation's finest skiing mountains.
I don't live in the city, I don't even live in the suburbs. I live so country that cellphones don't here
It snows occasionally in Seattle but rarely lasts as the average daily high is well above freezing. It's unusual to have snow on the ground for a full day.
No there is no snow where I live at the moment, For us to have serious snow in the North of England there need to be High pressure over Scandinavia and Northern France to pull cold air down from the Arctic and from Central Europe.
Really?
The climate fear mongerers say that is happening but you just proved it isn't.
@strateguy632 I have to deal with the realities of life not the fantasy's of the ' climate fear mongers' the last time we had really heavy snow was 2018, when Anticyclone Hartmut (dubbed the Beast from the East (Irish: An Torathar ón Oirthear)) was a storm that began on 22 February 2018, and brought a cold wave to Great Britain and Ireland. Anticyclone Hartmut also brought widespread unusually low temperatures and heavy snowfall to large areas. The cold wave combined with Storm Emma, part of the 2017–18 European wind-storm season, which made landfall in south-west England and the south of Ireland on 2 March.
In contrast to usual winter storms, Hartmut was not formed as a normal low pressure area along the jetstream. The initial event was an Arctic outbreak (caused by a disordered polar vortex) into Central Europe, transporting not only cold air from Siberia to Europe but also – due to the lake effect – sending heavy snowfall into Great Britain and Ireland.
It didn't snow for Christmas it has snowed a few times in the past couple weeks but the snow is usually gone a few hours later or the next day
not today.
It's a balmy 38 degrees F. kind of cloudy, it might snow later this week, you never know around here.
Balmy? Indoors with your heat blasting!
@strateguy632 Nahhh it isn't that bad.
My wife & I went for a bit over a 2 mile walk.
It's above zero always a good thing.
We had a fire one year on Christmas Eve downtown, it was around 20 below zero F with a 15ish MPH wind.
That was a bit brisk.
We've has two snow falls the first one was only on the ground for a out 24 hrs before it melted, the second stayed von the ground a few days but is just about all melted now.
We had a light covering last week. It all melted. Now it's just raining again for the third day
They say that - ''here'' last time there was snow falling in 1955
It doesn’t snow not in my life time. Here gotta go to mountains.
It was snowing a little before the Christmas here in Toronto and now it’s rainy 10 degree Celsius!! So unusual for this time of season.
We are stuck in late summer gear.
Highly annoying and suspect gov interference.
