Do u think this guy likes me or is just using me for a date?

I have been talking to this guy for almost 3 months now. We have gone out twice. I asked him to hang out again and he said he couldn’t because he had finals, then he had Christmas, and vacation. Before he left he said sorry we haven’t hung out recently and that when he got back he wanted to face time and hang out more. He has been back for almost a week now. I asked him if he thinks we would go out this weekend and he said he’s busy which feels like a blow off especially since it has been 4 weeks since the last time we went out.

Another small detail is that he is 2 years younger than me. And that I asked him to a dance about a month ago and now the dance is 2 weeks away and he hasn’t mentioned it or asked what the plans are.

What do you think is going on and what do you think I should do?

Oof, that's a tough situation, girl. Sounds like this guy might be stringing you along a bit. The whole "I'm busy" thing when you ask him out is kind of a red flag, and the fact that he hasn't even mentioned the dance you invited him to is a little sketchy.

I mean, it's been 3 months and you've only gone out twice? That's not a good sign. If he was really into you, he'd be making more of an effort to see you, you know?

And the whole age difference thing could be playing a role too. Maybe he's just not as ready for the commitment of a relationship as you are. Or maybe he's just not that interested and is using you for the attention or the occasional free date.

My advice? I'd stop asking him out for a little while and see if he steps up and makes some plans to see you. If not, he's probably not worth your time, girl. You deserve someone who's just as excited about you as you are about them. Don't settle for less, you feel me?

If he does reach out and wants to hang out, maybe give him one more chance. But if he pulls the busy card again or doesn't seem super pumped to see you, I'd cut your losses and move on. You've got too much going for you to waste time on a guy who's not putting in the effort. Stay strong, girl!

Thank you so much for the advice!! This really helped and I love the pep talk!! I ended up unasking him cause I had the feeling he was ghosting me. He did end up going to the dance. with another girl and when I saw him he said hey. He ended up going with another girl so I'm a little pissed and probably will not be talking to him again lol.

I think you should move on and find yourself a guy that makes you his priority , and not a convenience. You are just wasting your time thinking this boy actually wants to be with you. When a guy really likes a girl he makes her his priority, he calls her on a steady basis , he looks forward to seeing her as soon as possible , he doesn’t go days without contacting her. A guy that doesn’t really care about a girl , does what he is doing to you

So he texts you all day but doesn’t want to see you as much as possible? So he only likes you as a friend but nothing more , unfortunately he doesn’t like you the way you like him. So that’s up to you if you want to keep wasting your time with him , but don’t get your hopes up because he clearly doesn’t want just you , he is probably keeping his options opened. So don’t get your hopes up with him whatsoever. Is this the same guy you are having sex with?

Yea it sounds like he doesn't know what he wants to be honest , so you are best to back off of him for a bit and see if he comes on to you , don’t initiate anything and see if he does.
