How would you feel if you discovered your coworker threw away their Christmas card envelope in the trash?

So I did Christmas cards for my coworkers this year, most everyone was happy ans appreciative, however one threw their envelope in the break room trash and I never got a thank you. Could it actually just mean nothing?

I wouldn’t feel great, but this is also why I try to avoid sending Christmas cards to colleagues as you don’t know who may secretly hate you, whether that be due to a promotion you got, or something else that you may never find out why. Sorry about your experience, and focus on the colleagues that do appreciate your Christmas cards.

Be careful to whom you give cards/gifts to at work. You don’t know who secretly hates you. This is why I’m incredibly selective to whom I give cards/gifts to at work. Obviously, this person didn’t care that you would see your Christmas card in the trash. That tells me that that person may not like you. Honestly, focus on the colleagues who did appreciate your card.

Was it the card or envelope in the bin, if envelope and they kept the card I mean what did you expect it’s an envelope with little to no sentimental value. TBH same goes for card I don’t know why you assume they should put it on a display mantle and treasure it for life seems a bit entitled DON’T YOU THINK?

Well, the thing is, after you read a Christmas card, what exactly do you do with it? I'm not really sure, but I guess throwing it away is an option.

It probably means they don't want Christmas cards from coworkers.

It could mean that they don't celebrate Christmas the next time you see that coworker you should ask them
