Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines

The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

I don't really give that much importance... to the transition from one year to the next

because... in reality, it doesn't really change anything that much either

work is the same, school is the same... family, friends are the same...

most things are the same for me, lol

It happens every year about this time! I just don't like how, no sooner does the year get started when it's just a few months away that Christmas is here and we have to go through it all again. As I was telling the love of my life an hour ago, when you're a kid, a year lasted FOREVER!! When you're an adult, each one zips right by in a few weeks!!

I think 2026 will be a disaster. National Debt will explode. Layoffs will continue. Gold could reach $5000 an ounce. Banks will be need to be bailed out. Trump will start new wars. Maybe World War 3 . Potential Civil war in US. Inflation will be going up with food prices. Companies going out of business or filing bankruptcy. Record Hurricanes. New diseases.

I was anxious because some fears almost ruined the end of my year. But I have dug deep, located facts that I can bank on and despise all my anxieties, fears and worries. 2026 will be my best year yet.
