New Year's Eve alone - What can you do?

This year (im not very social person but from time to time I hang out) I will spend it at home, eating leftovers form the past days as at home we have plenty but I will spend it with my mom only, just the two of us. She is an elder person and since I live with her, we dont ahve anywhere to go to. My older brother is out of the city with my male cousin and his son. Then my cousin sister will be celebrating it with her boyfriend. My cousins parents also elderly and one in a wheel chair will spend it also by themselves without her children. My married sister will spend at her house with her hubby no go out either. Even though we can get together (my sister, her husband and mom and me as neither one have plans), my selfish sister told me that she is not planning on organizing anything at her house therefore we can't go to her house and neither she will come to our house, because she really does not feel to go out tomorrow night but also she does nto want mom and me to go to her house (even by taxi as I dont have a car) because the weather is chilly and she does not want mom to get sick by staying out that late but she does not want to come home even if I organize something, and she and her husband both have cars, which conclude she does not want to sacrifice to come to our house.

LOL, I'll be walled up indoors. I was invited to go on a "pub crawl" with a bunch of 50 something married couples. They're taking a train a couple of towns away to hit (they said) about 12 bars.

1.) In my 50's, I have no interest in sucking down 12 drinks in a few hours and waking up New Year's Morning with a hangover. That brainless activity is for 20 somethings. Geez, have some self respect. Act your age.

2.) I DO NOT want to be on the roads New Year's Eve with 12 drinks in me or anyone else trying to get home from the train station.

3.) I've never really gotten into the New Year's Eve Thing like some people do.

Nah, I'm fine in the house and off the roads. Maybe have a crawl between neighbor's homes on my cul-de-sac with far more limited drinking and zero driving.

It's a time for quietness, a time to look back the time to look forward in a time to change in the time. To become our world is changing And not so much for the good , even though we would all like to think that I hope i'm wrong But if you're alone, it's okay, because there's a bigger, better meaning for all of it, it's a moment in time to find yourself to become yourself.
The date is changing that's all it is. It's not a big deal Not unless you use this day
For change, and then it is probably a good thing that you are alone. I am going to be alone because that's my choice. I don't need to go out and celebrate another day of our world. Being the way that it is If anything , it's a day to look back and say , how can I change this world to become a better place instead of celebrating all the b******* that's going on in the world

That depends if there's any realistic quality connections you can make.

I say quality, because being alone is always better than bad company.

But if you're going to be alone. Embrace it, I say. Part of the issue maybe trying to resist it. Everything can always be reframed. Sure, it may not be ideal. But it can be pretty sweet being in your own company.
