Do you ever wonder why wedding dresses are bought, but wedding tuxes are rented?

A wedding dress is more specific to the person because making it fit the bride is more complicated, and usually a seamstress has to reshape the dress for the bride so it can’t be reused but a tuxedo does not have to mirror all the contours of the upper body so is easier to repurpose for different users. A brides dress is tailored so is harder to share.
You have a vaild point, makes a lot of sence
Because men don’t care as much?
Don't care about the wedding, not the bride. Is that what your saying
I like fancy clothes, but hate weddings

Well wedding dress are fitted to the individual and there are like 1,000's of different styles of dresses and women are very particular about that.
Tuxes are pretty standard though so doesn't take much for a man to find the right fit. We are pretty basic.
They tried. But they couldn’t get any men to buy one, they all walked out.
Lmao
@dustybiker, I would but I am also not normal
@humanearth Nor should you be.
Dresses are typically tailored in order to fit or suit the brides wants and body (adjusting size, Adding strap, ribbon, removing unwanted areas etc). It's also kinda a tradition to try your dress on every anniversary, but not everyone does that.
Because only a woman will spend several thousand dollars for a dress she’ll wear once.
True that
Women like a memento of it and maybe to pass it down but men could care less
That's what my wife said
I care much more about the marriage than the wedding.
@Jamie05rhs Yeah exactly
Cause men won't pay thousands for a once off suit like women will
True that
Because men aren't as easy to fool, regarding weddings, anyway, and wouldn't spend the money.
Yes, I have wondered about this. My daughter bought a wedding dress expecting to lose weight. She did not lose the weight and had to buy a second dress. She could not return the first one. At keast with a tux you can get one in a different size/
What @jennifer_bloom said. I also like to keep mine for sentimental reasons.
Because a wedding is all about the bride, the only reason the groom is there is because he has to be, otherwise you wouldn't be invited 🤣🤣🤣
Because we care more about clothes and memories than the guys do? Lol
@JustiReno i wouldn't care to see me in my wedding dress in 5-10 years 🤣 But just knowing i own it and once wore it makes me happy lol
@JustiReno i dont find garter belts sexy or comfortable but i do love wearing white lace. Screw the dress. I’d totally wear angelic styles like

@JustiReno i tried the garter with an outfit at the lingerie shop. I dont like those. And yea its called a garter
Its the garter with the thigh harness
@JustiReno you confusing boy shorts with booty shorts. Boy shorts is like boxer briefs.
Booty shorts is like cheekies but less cheek
And these are cheekies
@JustiReno why would i need lingerie in Australia? Im going to theme parks and casinos homie. Now when i go to the beach to learn how to surf, i’ll be in a rashguard
#2 👌 good black woman is so rare in this life, they get snatched up by the best of the best black men for the most part and actually many races don’t mind the idea of having a mixed black child but I’m very suspicious of mixed races relationships I see white black / mixed girls in particular guess same feeling white dudes see white girls getting the 🚂
@JustiReno we have no problem dating interracially but some people say stupid racially insensitive things when dating them and that is a turnoff.
@JustiReno i dont know about those countries you named. Not all black people come from those places just because some super old ass ancestors may. And what is Fox? The tv channel? And black people have bands too, just with a little more soul
@JustiReno yea i watch fox. Thats not even a big deal but i doubt he watches BET, TVOne, OWN, WeTV, Bounce, and Aspire. And anyways, who give af about money when we got our own. You must be stuck on certain gold diggers from back in the day
@JustiReno are you talking about Fox news? I thought you meant the fox tv channel where they show tv shows like 911, Masterchef, The Cleaning Lady, Maksed Singer, Lego Masters, Simpsons, etc. lmao im goin to bed
I didn't knew that at all. In my country it is bought for both the bride and groom. It is rarely rented.
Because dress measurements are usually more individual than tux measurements?
If the guy does get one more tailored to him, he buys it too right?
Having dealt with trying on several, picking one, and having to deal with several fittings…. Not at all. A wedding dress is a lot more work than a tux.
Feeding into this Disney malarkey that little girls are fed like ducks being fattened for foie gras.
But if you were trying to make a popular fantasy up would you make it totally disconnected from the people's genuine desire
@RandomGuy1030 Kids at 6 and 7 are being molded. Or in the case of Disney, indoctrinated. I never had a genuine desire for a dress I will wear ince. How bloody wasteful. It has always been beyond idiotic to me. @jennifer_bloom does make a good point about the fitting and so on. But again a fitting for a dress you will wear once. Ludicrous.
This is probably a cultural thing. I personally don't know any men who has rented their wedding suit.
Rented?
My suits and dinner suits have been made by tailors.
I am a shape that does not look good in anything that is off the rack.
Marriage isn't such a big deal for men as it is for women.
Most of the time, its the man paying for the dress. I guess it's because those women just wants the dress and not having to pay for it is a big advantage
Because men expect to marry only once, women are covering themselves in case the marriage doesn't work lol,,,
Because men are disposable and we don’t really matter. We should all look like one another in the same tux.
I had no idea about this. In Indian weddings both men and women buy their outfits.
In my culture they don't rent it. They get it tailormade and its their's to keep for life.
I don't know Im honestly just surprised women dont wear their own tuxedos.
Thats a good fucking question
Right
I would NEVER rent clothes... lmfao
I don't about other folks, but I own a tux
Because legends say only the women gets married..
L think they are more expensive
Wedding dresses ate so expensive
you have a good point I’ve done that myself
Because men are smarter.
men don't care about memories as much as women.
they can be rented too
