I have a hard time understanding the social media term for Feminism... The actual definition seems straight and forward. Equal. Anyhow As far as marriage is concerned it should be equal balance of each doing their part. If one can do more of a certain task or skill then hopefully the other has strength in other areas to even the load. No one should be less than the other...
All i can say before my husband became bed ridden we would work things out. I. e. some days I cooked others he did. Some days he do the dishes and mopping Id weed wack and mow the lawn. We took turns accomplishing tasks. The only thing I had to take over completely was the banking/bills. That was not a strong point for him. But he could make a killer weekend brunch so it was all good 😊👍.
that definition of feminism is obviously a lie. or it wouldn't be called FEMinism
they care more about women than men. admit it or stfu
Depends on your definition of both terms.
For me,
Feminism = wish for equality between genders, without stepping on men along the way.
Marriage = two people celebrating their love through a contractual agreement and plans to spend the rest of their lives together.
Not everyone will agree with my definition of either, and that is fine. But for me, it is compatible, because you can be in what’s essentially a love contact and wish for equality at the same time, even though marriage in many places is used as an enforcer of gender roles.
No. Not necessarily. If a man feels that feminism = misandry, then is misogyny also incompatible with marriage? Both are incompatible with marriage in my opinion. I don't agree with the old fashioned idea that men should be the head of the household.
And if moderate feminism merely means that a woman is independent minded, I don't see how that's incompatible marriage at all. My wife and are a both independent minded an can be bull headed, but we get along great. We both supported ourselves and had great lives before we got married. Neither of us is the boss of the other. We are a team.
I don't see a problem unless one or the other partner has a low opinion of the opposite sex or feels the need to dominate.
Yes. Marriage is a traditional institution. When you bring non-traditional stuff into it it's like trying to drive your car in a lake. If you keep near the shore it might work but the further out you got the closer to ruining the car.
Feminists who date & marry up, want a guy who acts traditional in as many ways as benefit her as possible while being non-traditional herself... as much as possible. The feminist who date/marry down don't even do it by choice. It's all that they can get.

We are living in 2022, not 1950, so we have to answer this question based on what feminism is today, and to borrow a term, they are a basket of deplorables.
Marriage in general today is a very unwise choice for a man. A man marrying a feminist is a virtual guarantee of a life of misery for him.
I think so. Feminists declare themselves to be "independent" women. Their rantings and actions often reek of misandry. Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jodi Arias might be among their heroines. A feminist is not relationship/marriage material.
uh yeah, obviously? why did all girls except myself (for now at least) vote no lmfao
Yeah that’s not a good combination but maybe it’s worked in some marriages but those are hard enough to work with out having more possible issues
Only if the man involved doesn't mind being treated like shit.
Given that feminists seem to totally reject the woman's role in marriage, no.
The way I understand modern western feminism then yes I agree.
Marriage is a legal contract
Amplify.
Yes, pretty much, lol.
Oops I hit no. They are definitely incompatible.
pudding
Feminism is breaking relationships and families.
Not to normal men.
