It's needed more in countries that both parties can actually divorce each other. So if your in a country in the east that looks down upon divorce and basically makes it illegal to do so then you don't really need to worry about an agreement that only takes place if one divorces.

In a country were divorce is as easy as getting married you need a more secure agreement because one could marry you for a day then divorce taking your stuff.

People getting each others property in divorce is stupid. Men keeping their wealth and women keeping their own wealth should be the default without any agreement. If anyone is happy to gift their partner some asset on divorce than it's their choice.
