Is it wrong for me to want my husband to propose to me if he never did?

We've been 2 years married but all we did was have a discussion about how we wanted to get married and then we did it. Nothing romantic. No proposal. I bought the rings and he paid for the hotel and flight where we went to get married. Now I feel this weird sensation that something is missing, I miss that moment where he would demonstrate his love and show me that this is truly what he wanted and not that he just settled. Knowing that I may never experience this moment hurts a lot.

I moved to his country for him. He lost our ring and never replaced it. Now he is angry at me for expressing that I wish he would have proposed. Am I asking for too much?

Yep, this is why the cultural norm is for men to propose. Because they're often the ones with the most reservations about marriage, and the woman wants the romantic story to remember.

But you didn't do that. You can't ask for a proposal now. It's too late, it makes no sense. There are milestones, anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day, and all those. So you can tell him how nice it would be, if he could say something on one of those occasions. But you can't get the beginning back.

If it makes you feel any better, this is similar to my life. And it is sad, yes. But he's not a romantic guy, not emotional, and he just doesn't have it in him. I made sure I did not ask him. And he invited me to come and be with him in his country. It had to come from him, or I would never have been able to live with it. Maybe you need to ask yourself if you sort of coerced him into it, or whether he wanted it too, but he's just not a romantic kind of guy.

Maybe he's upset with you (not replacing the ring) for other reasons as well. Like your profile pic. Are you looking to replace him?

at least you're married. you can't really get that back after you're married. how is he supposed to propose to you when you guys already said i do? something should have been said while looking for the rings.

also, the problems you are having now aren't good. you got married way too young.

He likes to give gifts and things like that which is nice, but I miss that effort into buying me flowers and general romantic demonstrations like writing texts, posting me on social media, etc without me having to ask for

I feel like maybe he is also quite feminine because he doesn't seem to really appreciate the effort I put in in bed to satisfy him and generally thinks that even if I always try to impress him on lingerie every week, try different things, be very open and starting usually he still thinks that this is just what a couple does and that its not me putting effort, but it takes me ages to get ready and sometimes I will even dance for him. Just the same way as I would expect a man appreciates that, I wish he would understand that I appreciate romantic actions.
