What's the point of dating? Is marriage a rare thing?

I have a lot to offer, but refuse to deal with this generation pretaining to dating and marriage how God is not incorporated in anything including the vows. Extremely iffy about marriage and dating nowadays

If you read what people post here, all guys want is sex. That may be true for some, especially the young ones, but that's not true for all. There are many people who want a long-term commitment with one person, yet, for whatever reason, don't see the value of marriage as an institution. I understand there are many people who want to marry, because their religion says to do so, so they can be fruitful and multiply, so there are more people to feed the religion. Not everyone believes that, and not everyone is interested in having children or having more children. Some people just want a committed long-term connection without the complications... based on equality, not a provider/dependent situation. There are many options to satisfy whatever people are looking for. There is no one size fits all option that fits everyone. Just as others appreciate consideration of their choices, we appreciate when others are considerate of our choices.

You ask why men date when they're not interested in marriage. That's like asking why invest your money if you have no desire to become a billionaire. Never assume each path only has one outcome. People date because they want to date or to meet someone special. They also date because they prefer doing things with someone else rather than alone. Sharing an experience adds special dimensions to that experience. For instance, have you ever attempted to tickle yourself? It will never feel the same as someone else tickling you.

I don't have time to weed through men to find a man whose not like the others if he's out there he'll find me. It's like asking why people go fishing, only to release the fish back into the water. You may believe fishing is just to provide food for your table, yet others fish for many different reasons. I never understood people choosing a religion based on fear. Is God so terrible he needs to be feared? Will your husband need to be feared, also? This reminds me of people staying in abusive relationships and convincing themselves they deserve the abuse they get.

What I don’t understand is how some people date. I won’t do online and I don’t like just approaching random strangers or random strangers approaching me. I like to know someone.

Even if someone dates online because there is not many other options. The fact that someone is so willing to go to a strangers house, bring a stranger to their house, ride with a stranger, or give a ride to a stranger is astonishing.

i don’t date for fun. i date for marriage and marriage only. i will not have kids or play house with someone who does not make me a wife first. i’m lucky that the men i have encountered want marriage and to be fathers. i make sure we have the same goals for the relationship by the third date.

The marriage thing is because of the ways the laws are set up. Women can easily destroy a man in the courts if the divorces occurs. And over 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, and 80 percent of them are initiated by the woman. So that's why guys don't want to marry anymore. Dating however gives them the benefits of a marriage without necessarily dealing with the threats of the government.

Religious stances on my end I couldn't shack up with a man with no intentions of marriage for the long haul. Why I couldn't invest with a man whose not the one. I have the money , car, and etc with or without a man.. most men think some women marry for these things. I already have these things before I met a man..
