What are your thoughts on your future marriage?

I'm a woman who's been through a failed marriage, and I have doubts about the marriage, and I don't want to be emotionally traumatized.

My ex. hubby decided to end the marriage after our second child.
I was once there…broken with nothing.
however, I made sure we continue to raise kids together…i harnessed him…so he can know weekly how kids were…now it’s all worked out. Kids are great.
second marriage? I started to get myself together after 2 years. Nothing serious…I met people, I went on dates.
I joined gag…I asked questions… I too met people here as friends.
out of the blue…I got involved with a gagger…. You can say gag out us together… we dated 5-6 years long distance…

he had lots of issues…you would think, I should be the one to never trust again or marry again…well… I worked/walked him through what a married life would be like…he resisted, he had trust issues.. more times passed…we finally jumped through lots of hoops…and married.
my second, his first marriage.
just take your time but not too long to treat yourself good again and pick the right man who is willing to work with you.

I understand. I think you will find better long as you’re a good person yourself.

I never been through that. But. I have been through other stuff I won’t get into.

I worry about the same stuff. I don’t date online or meet people online. I really want to make sure someone I’m dating loves me for me. I don’t want something to start off good and be treated like shit or be in something one sided where I’m demanded to do all this and that but don’t get anything in return.

Many of us just want to be loved. But. We want ir so bad. Then when someone comes along wiling to give someone a chance. I just run away. I don’t know why.

I know there is someone out there for me. If you pray and feel it in your heart it’s a good sign

I’ve never been married and I’ve never felt it necessary to be in a long-term committed relationship. If I met my absolute dream girl and she really wanted marriage, then I would be open to it - I’m not against it - but given the choice I would choose not to get married and instead use the money for things we could enjoy together while happy in the knowledge that not being married doesn’t mean we are any less committed or in love 🙂
