What is the propose of what we call "Marriage" in the west today?

Serous what does the new definition do?

1: It provides no security for partners or their children thanks to no-fault divorce.

2: Thanks to the new justification for "Gay Marriage" it's not even about commitment but a increasingly pointless and costly expression of "Feelings".

How is this any different than a mere friendship?

How are its lingering financial risks even desirable?

My Take:
I don't blame all future generations to look at this silly contract and see non thing but a costly undesirable risk.

Granted they like us still want kids, and security, but what they call "Marriage" very clearly no longer has anything to do with either of those thing not in the new definition nor increasingly even in practice.

i see it as the ultimate commitment and promise. i desire marriage and value it wholeheartedly but i think seeing my parents (married for 24 years) and how amazing they are as partners is why i view it the way i do. the purpose isn’t about the societal “perks”, it’s about the spiritual contract between two souls.


i am extremely serious about marriage and it is and always will be the ultimate goal. i will not date someone longer than four years if they don’t propose for marriage. i will not have kids out of wedlock. i will not buy any properties or make major financial commitments with someone out of wedlock. and i let any guy i’m dating know that marriage is the end goal and their time to determine whether they want to marry me is limited just so they know where i stand and what i expect.

To be fair, if you're struggling with spelling, you're not going to understand why "marriage" is different from "manage" either.

If you think skills are soo linearly improved prepositionally then perhaps your better "general abilities" and thinking in all areas will enable you to answer the simple question, rather than simply critique its written form.

I can't see a such a non-binding relationship based declaring mere feelings ever having any value.

Marriage is two people becoming one under God. It has many purposes such as raising a family and teaming up as partners

God does not act without reason, and for that reason God did not pick just any 2 types of people.
