Which professions, according to you, make the best spouses?

I want someone who is home and not often away or working or “on call” like a doctor/lawyer/cop, pilot/scientist/military. Plus i feel some professions can risk the lives of families if someone mad at them decides to attack (again a doctor/lawyer/cop). And I also just don’t fully trust dating a scientist who may want to experiment on me someday or someone in the military who may unfortunately have ptsd. I have no interest in dating a musician or someone in the gaming industry. I think their jobs are cool but I just wouldn’t want to date them. So i know for sure those are just a few of the professions i have no interest in dating. I would prefer someone in a creative field like a construction worker, mechanic, architectural drafter, school counselor, advertising exec, beatmaker, ghostwriter/poet, chef, art director, graphic designer, copywriter, carpenter, radio disc jockey, sculptor, film screenwriter, hair barber, English/art teacher, baseball scout, or a product designer/brand ambassador for skateboards, surfboards, or snowboards. As long as the construction worker and chef don’t have to travel a lot, I’m all for it

I think that being a good spouse has nothing to do with your profession. In my opinion, it has to do with your personality, your behavior, your words and the way you treat your spouse. I don't even see how these two things are connected.

Whatever profession makes her happy. It does not matter what she does, but it matters if she comes home and constantly complains about her job.

I try to reduce negativity in my life, as it can be anchor. So, to listen to someone constantly complain about their work, and not do something to better the situation, suggests to me, they can't be a happy person.

There isn't one. The profession doesn't make the spouse. In any way, shape or form.

There are amazing spouses who have no profession and there are professionals who are terrible spouses. And everywhere in between.

Some lawyers make good spouses, but I say that only because I am a lawyer. :) :) :)

Anything that isn't entry level... If a teenager can hand in a CV with no experience and get your job then you're probably on minimum wage.

teachers civil service jobs, healthcare. Not therapist or psychiatrist because you don’t want to feel as if you’re being psycho, analyze, nor do you think that they’re trying to analyze themselves.

As far as wives go, the first three that come to mind atm are teachers, nurses, and chefs. lol
