What Girls Said
What is touched out?
It is a breaking point where mothers that recently gave birth, and mostly during breast feeding, that the last thing a mother wants is to be touched. By anybody. Like other children in the family or a husband, friends, relatives and so on. Sometimes, just the constant attention that baby needs from mothers, including sleeping on mom, mom having to carry baby around, baby pulling, pushing and any other types of constant contact. Breast feeding is worse due to the fact that momma must continually breast feed around the clock.
For many, mom just needs a break from being touched. Even to the point of neglecting other family members that are unaware of moms condition and because of her guilt, she still feels responsible or embracing the rest of her family.
It is not a diagnosable condition, just a sudden sensory overload.
O wow I never thought of this. I'm this way now lol
Haven't given birth yet but once I do I'll let you know lol
Yea, if you got a clingy boyfriend or husband, it can happen that way as well.
