yes and no
once the honeymoon phase is over, reality sets back in. food needs to be on the table, bills need to be paid, work must be done etc. some people accept this and continue on with life and do what they are suppose to do hence they are not taking their partner for granted but they will be accused of taking their partner for granted.
then there are the other people who can't accept reality, accuse their partner of taking them for granted when they themselves are taking their partner for granted.
take Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen for example. Tom Brady did his role as a protector and provider for his family, often raking in millions of dollars every year but in doing so he must train everyday. Gisele accuses him of taking her granted but really she was the one who took him for granted.
that actually happens before marriage if it ever gets to that.
