Where did you meet your significant other and how long after meeting did you get married?

I've never been married but came close with number 3.
1. We had just lost our main guitarist and I found a guy through a newspaper ad. He was never given the chance to audition as the other guitarist thought he was king shit on guitar and didn't want another one but, this new guy & I quickly became friends. He invited me up to his place to meet his wife, eat dinner and then go to a movie with her. At the theatre, she kept playing footsy with me but I ignored it. A couple weeks later, we were playing at a frat house party. He wanted her to see the band play so, he stayed home with the baby and insisted I take her to the party. I told him that, as it's a private party, I might not be able to get her in. He said that she could go as my girlfriend and if anybody questioned it, I could kiss her. Well, NOBODY gave a shit that she was there!! We sat on the front porch and talked for a while then I went down to the basement to play our first set, after that, we went to the porch and talked. She mentioned having hurt her arm on the stucco wall coming up out of the basement and I jokingly asked if she wanted me to kiss it and make it better, she pouted, yes, so I did. Shortly after, we went to play our second set. Afterwards, we went to the porch and talked again. She mentioned hurting her hand on the way up. I asked if she wanted it kissed to feel better, she pouted yes so, I kissed it. Then she purred that she hurt her lip. Again, I asked if she wanted me to kiss it, she purred, "Yes.". To complete the trifecta of the joke, because a running gag always comes in a series of 3, I kissed her. Next thing I knew, she was all over me and we made out hot & heavy every chance we got the rest of the night! I asked her about her hubby, she said that she's gonna divorce him, anyway, because he beats her! I figured, I guess that makes her fair game so, I went ahead with it! She DID eventually divorce him but not for a few more years.
2. She was my lead guitarist's girlfriend and we immediately became very close friends. She claims she actually met me 3 years earlier at Cedar Point when we both worked there but I don't remember seeing her there. Besides, she quit almost the same day I started.
Almost 2 years after I met her, I talked the both of them into getting married but, a month after they got married, they had an argument over a trip to an amusement park she wanted to take with him and he left her!! As we were the best of friends, she called me up to come spend time with her for a while so she'd have someone to talk to. About a week later, we went out for a walk and she broke her foot! They put a cast on her foot but she told me she was afraid of the crutches and wanted to know if I'd stay with her `til it came off. So, I did. After about 2 weeks of carrying her around her apartment, even to and from the bathroom, she got quite lax in being naked around me! So, I did, too. One day, she saw my hard dick and said, "I guess you want me to take care of that for you!" That WASN'T my intention but, later that night, she had me sleep in her bed with her and we fucked! Up to that night, I'd been sleeping on the couch. About a week later, I discovered that she'd already been on a decline for weeks into her third nervous breakdown and, when she finally snapped, she ended up in a Ha-Ha Hotel for 6 months. By the time she got out, she'd gone back to him and I wasn't allowed to see her anymore!
3. My new guitarist's girlfriend said some friends of hers from New Orleans were playing a gig here soon and needed a drummer to sit in with them because they never keep a drummer, they just pick one up wherever they play. They're an improvisational jazz rock band. She kept begging me to play this gig with them, I kept telling her, no! EVENTUALLY, I caved and did the gig. After our set, which we played to an almost empty room and neither I nor the band liked it at all, I sat near the front of the building (the back of the audience) because I had to wait `til they got paid at the end of the night to get my drums back to Bob's house, where we rehearse, because the band was my ride back. While waiting for the other band to finish their gig so we could get out of there, some girl walked in and stood directly in front of me. She spotted me sitting behind her and apologized for blocking my view but I just said,, don't worry about it, I'm not watching them. She liked this about me (as she later told me) and decided to sit and talk with me. Besides, the girl she came with was a lezzie that was quite interested in getting into her panties and she didn't want that to happen so, talking to me kept that from happening! We had a nice chat for about an hour or so until my ride was ready to leave. We figured, we'd never see each other again and neither afforded contact info. We waved goodbye through the front window and off I went.
A week or two later, I went into town to put an application in at a drug store and, just as I was on my way in, some girl standing outside the door waiting for her bus said, "Hi! It's you!!" I had NO idea who she was but, a pretty girl seemed to wanna talk to me so, I rushed into the store to hand in my app and rushed back out to talk to her! We started talking, she told me who she was and where we met and all the pieces fell into place! We eventually started talking about my fave subject: music, and she was enthralled with all the music I was telling her about!! She let several of her buses pass her so she could hear what I had to say and, eventually, invited me to her place for dinner where she could voraciously take copious notes of what I was telling her!!
A few days later, she had me over for another night of the same thing. A few nights later, my band was playing a few blocks from her place so, I invited her to the show. She loved it and a week or two later, we started making out at her place. We spent the next 10 years together almost like a married couple! I DID ask her to marry me about a year later, she said, yes but, a few months later, claimed she never said yes!! Apparently, she has a terrible memory and a very selective one! And, I suppose that incident started the VERY gradual decline of our relationship! After 10 years together, I found her cheating on me!!

She was arriving at a party two doors from my house with two mutual friends who were coworkers of mine. I was in my garage working on one of my boats and had no knowledge of any party. My coworkers recognized my work truck as being from our company and stopped to say hello. At the time, I considered myself to be a confirmed bachelor.

Pure chance and a connection all rolled into one. Wonderful (sarcasm).

We were married two years later.

For better or worse (sigh), the rest is history.

I place full blame on my dick for that game-losing error.

I met her on GAG 7 years ago answering her questions post break up. I met her in person after talking on phone a few times, sight unseen... never saw a photo. It wasn't planned dating for either of us, we were just communicating we'll and I learned later why.

We were married 5-6 years in. It was bumpy at times but got through it.

Reality: We met through a dating site. But marriage as in signing some documents isn't our intention - we 'married' by mutual understanding. It works.
