No, because we as a society were already well on our way to seeing marriage as useless, unnecessary, outdated, and arbitrary. They were already saying "we don't need to sign a contract to prove our love" and other such nonsense for years by 2015.

They were already living as though they were married; they were already living together, having sex, and sometimes having children. Marriage being "pointless" had already been in our cultural consciousness, whether we knew, liked, or intended so or not.

It's more that they are so against the norm in everything that like the hippies they will turn into the normal couples and marry.

Also add in lost couples wanna adopt kids! With they saying family is pointless and hating them I'll do what I want... Nope they want it too
