A guy who wanted to marry me and calls me his “the one who got away” (before we both married) got in touch and told me if I’m allowed, say hi to my husband from him. He’s never met him. Is that weird? He’s married too.

yes that's weird. very weird and in poor taste
Poor taste in what way?
cause it's clear that there is intent that is not good. he's basically like trying to send a firework into your relationship. why would he ask you to say hi to a guy he's never met? what does he think the reaction of your husband would be of a former admirer 'saying hi' to him
But he’s married himself so why would he want to send a “firecracker” to my marriage?
because the firecracker points away from his relationship
Don’t get it
*firework not firecracker
if you don't know someone. do you tell people who do know them, "say hi to X"? if you don't know his wife do you tell him to tell him you said, "hi"?
No? But he knows I won’t so what’s the point of saying it?
I think he was judging me for replying to me because we are both married
*him
Yes very weird and a creep trying to weasel in and be friends? Till he gets you alone and rapes you!
That or wants a couples swap so you get to bang him!
A little
Question is, why do you keep in touch with him?
